[Q&A+] Galaxies Sticking Together, Feeling The Expansion, Flawed LCDM | Q&A 366
Why didn't all galaxies stick together at the early stages of the Universe? Can we feel the spacetime expanding? What if simulating the Universe is easier than physically exploring it? And in Q&A+, why is Starship so hyped compared to other new rockets?

The Yvette’s channel is called AstronomER here!
I really don't buy the argument that "exploring virtual worlds becomes more interesting than exploring the real universe". That's the No Man's Sky problem -- just procedurally generated worlds, each unique and yet all basically alike.
NASA released a study this year called "Counting stars and costs: An empirical examination of space launch cost trend at NASA" which argues that costs are increasing, and that Falcon 9 has not dropped launch costs for NASA. The belief that has been circulating about costs having come down "dramatically", thanks to reusability, was largely manifested by space enthusiasts and aspirational statements made by Elon Musk. But it's not true.
I think you are missing the point; it's about reducing waste and making money. Space-X isn't a "non-profit" organisation, they charge whatever the market can bear, less than the competition but not much less. Some competition would be a good thing but going to space will never be cheap, that will remain a dream of science fiction or virtual reality!
