[Q&A+] Putting Out the Sun, Earth from Another Galaxy, Forever Locked Moon | Q&A 364
How big of a water bucket do you need to put out the Sun? How would Earth look like from another galaxy? Will the Moon stay tidally locked forever? Why is Uranus so hillarious? And in Q&A+, which cinematic cliches deserve to be thrown out of an airlock?

I appreciate your instincts, and to be honest I don’t want to hear about more star links being launched. I just want to hear interesting amazing things, so thank you for that.
Thank you Sun
Chlorophyll, is it possible to detect?
Thank You! 🕊️🙌
Followup: if an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth, how big/fast would it have to be before our current technology is not able to divert it?
What makes a coronagraph more powerful? How does its flower-like shape help? 🤔
Thanks for the recommendation on Space Sweepers. Gonna watch now 😄
My movie review… it was something 😐 It was mindless fun. Love Park pumping the engines like a steam train. Lol.
Thanks
Looking forward to your sci-fi recommendation list.
Another fun set of questions and some stellar (!) answers. PS: I had thought that Earth would more likely LOSE the Moon rather than experience some distant dual locking, but I must be wrong. Either way not something I'm losing any sleep over.
going off of the water and sun question what if you used the stuff in a fire extinguisher to put out the sun?
I'd suggest the answer would be mostly the same. Some extinguishers deploy foam to remove the combustion access to oxygen, others work on specific fires like oil or grease etc. Irrespective of the type, fusion of elements at millions of degrees and unthinkable pressure is very UNLIKE any fire.
