The best Docuseries is called The Universe - from The History Channel The 2 hour launch episode from Season 1 gives you a great story of the different stages of important discoveries throughout the centuries. When you watch it now I believe it is renumbered as the last episode of Season 1, but when it aired it was the first and when I saw it, it blew me away and I was hooked. I believe right now you can watch them all on Amazon Prime.

Fraser - given that you and your team have finite time, how do you choose how much to spend on news, and how much to spend on conspiracy theorists and clickbait scams? I'm not arguing that you should do more or less of one or the other - I'm just curious how you choose.

Tom Selleck and Mark Lenard both did space science shows. I want to say they were Amazing Space and Practical Guide to the Universe. One episode had aids to finding objects/ constellations like finding Polaris (thus Ursa Minor) by following the "pointer stars" from the Big Dipper. Alas, I cannot remember which show/episode. Nor can I remember most of the examples. :(

3I/Atlas isn't a spaceship, I'm calling it. It would be nice to be wrong on this one, I'm not though.

I am not bothered by people who spin conspiracy theories about new comets. This is a pathway to a better understanding of our universe, and those who care about truth will evolve to more knowledge. I am more worried about the people who never notice.

All of the time we have to spend remediating the brain-farts of people in the Peanut Gallery who aren't acquainted with the basic, basic, kindergarten-level concept of the scientific method -- because education in the United States has been sabotaged by regressivist Republicans for *decades* -- is time the rest of us don't get to spend actually learning something new.

I will always be a Patron. I appreciate the the new Patrons. Thank you where Jamesburg I wish that talking about the launch of the I can’t support as much but I am so grateful that you guys can and that helps the team to provide such great information so thank you. Newbies team 49 & Telescope Canada. I have been saving for a Christmas gift for myself and the kids because my gosh I’m going to blow their eyes and minds ( okay okay teach but it will be fun. ) Super excited. My little ones out in Ontario too. I live in New Brunswick but my family out in Ontario they have no longer access to the science centre so I’m super excited for a decent telescope. I can’t wait for them to come down for a vacation and I think they’re getting tired of the stupid videos that I send them about Space 😂. Nothing like actually seeing it and you know what I won’t give them any workbooks Lol

All right, I am obviously getting aggressive about stuff that I don’t agree with and that’s not right I know Fraser wouldn’t agree with that so I’m gonna let it go, but I also know that I am on Patreon and I appreciate all my people that care about me but come on guys really

Of course those of you that are not educated or have been child watching evaluating studying comments and other stellar phenomena you’re right of course you know you might have some great idea I mean you’re right totally it could be like one in 1 million or one in 1 billion he talks about winning the lottery. I’m talking about having more information. Education is information and the truth is is that I bet a lot of you that are saying this stuff would love to be able to have access to that kind of information and I get it me too, but the truth is is that come on now how about we actually leave it to the information that we got and the great scientist an astrophysicist that look at it to study can study yet that are Omai gosh I probably shouldn’t be posting this on Patreon, I probably should post on YouTube. But I don’t do haters we have examined again we know of a man that’s why I have a safe zone around me like Patreon.

If you'd like another media recommendation, there's a show called Touring After The Apocalypse that's airing this season, it's on Crunchyroll. Two girls exploring post-apocalyptic Japan in what's set up superficially like a relatively plotless slice of life, but they're doing an interesting job of establishing the backstory with small background details that are easy to miss. Pay particular attention to the night sky if you give it a try.

When you said "comet-y" I initially heard "Comedy" which made what you were saying funny for a moment.
