[Q&A+] Black Hole Size Limit, Economies of Scale for Space Missions, Favourite Galaxy | Q&A 344
Is there an upper size limit for black holes? Why don't we build multiple identical missions to increase the chance of success? Is the Universe considered finite or infinite? And in Q&A+, is the Universe expanding or is everything else just shrinking?

Fraser, I thought the ocean was to your west so you'd see the sky well after sunset? Vancouver so mountains to your East yes.
Question: Would a moon based G.P.S. system allow a) improved moon landing navigation, and b) better navigation for spacecraft within or near the Earth Moon system?
I sure assume it would trivialize both a and b 👍
Question: on earth, the presence of graphite is the reason the tectonic plates are able to slide over each other and form mountains. As you will be aware, graphite is a deposit over many millions of years of zooplankton.. carbon based early life. Could the mountains on mars be formed this way? How could we prove that?
I believe that your initial assertion about the role of/need for graphite on Earth is incorrect. The convection currents in the mantle are strong enough to overcome the friction without the need for any sort of lubricant. Just think - earthquakes don't have graphite and the rocks still "slide" past each other.
Question - Ignoring the radiation and stellar winds could there be a large habitable zone around an actively feeding blackhole?
How do I get the notification for the 2 hour live show, please?
You want to be subscribed to the YT channel and then click the notifications bell. Then you'll get an email when we start up.
No upload on YouTube??? Ah it's still private
It should be there now. I do the Patreon, first, then the podcast, then the YT version.
