[Q&A+] Dust VS Interstellar Travel, Nuclear Reactors on the Moon, My Favourite Lagrange Point | Q&A 335
Will dust make interstellar travel impossible? Is Oumuamua unique in its weird cigar-like shape? How many nuclear reactors will we need on the Moon? And in Q&A+, does studying the Universe have no endgame? Answering all these questions and more in this Q&A show.

So apathy is an infinite resource?
There are good images of the Virgo Super Cluster on line and then nothing in between before it skips to the filaments of the Universe. Do you have any diagrams showing where the Virgo Super cluster fits into the galactic filaments? Most importantly at an interim scale?
I'm not sure that nuclear reactors would be needed in a moon base. Solar panels and storage batteries should suffice, the question is which has more mass a reactor plant or a large battery? The latter would be much safer, cheaper and require little maintenance.
Fraser, regarding the question about whether studying the universe has a final answer, I like to think of our knowledge as this circle or blob. Inside is what we know, outside is what we don't know, and the boundary is where the research is happening. The boundary gets bigger and bigger the more we know. The more we know, the more we know what we don't know!
The third grader in me has an answer for Oumuamua - It is obviously proof of extra-terrestrial life because only a giant alien could make a poop that big .. Third grade mind is alive and thriving in this middle-aged graying man. ;) ..
