I enjoyed the closing thoughts on Buddhism. On the subject of thoughts: It seems people now need to constantly be listening to or watching something. Which brings to mind a Buddhist quote on the subject of the importance of quiet time to think… “Quiet the mind and the soul will speak.”
Not the same as Kerbal Space Program, but I think that some "colony building" games that are inspired by Dwarf Fortress can be great training grounds to teach people about logistics. Rimworld being an obvious example.
Making Rimworld happen in the real world would be a one-way ticket to The Hague.
I stopped social media, five years ago and by that I mean I don’t even look at YouTube unless I am watching Frasier or several different new stations (as I always told the children you need to verify information by at least three different sources) I pretty much only do Patreon. I do enjoy a good video game and I think that it’s a great way to teach young and old to understand engineering, concepts. Teaching tools are important, and coding and video games is probably one of the best ways to be able to reach our children. And it is up to us the human beings in their lives the aunts, the uncles the parents grandparents to teach them about nature and values. It’s a two-way street.
It's been in my Steam library for so many years. Adding to my short list to actually play finally!
