I've been under the impression that total solar eclipses like we see from Earth (where the angular size of the Moon and Sun are very close) must be rare in the universe. Is this actually true? And - in our own solar system, are there any similar solar eclipses that happen for Jupiter or other outer planets, assuming that the angular size is big enough for the Sun to be more than just a point of light?
SKA promo video makes me want to start working on my ALF work! Sadly no time at the moment.
How much CO2 would Mars have to have and at what pressure for it to reach Earth like temperatures?
And how much more mass would it have to have to be able to retain all that gas?
During the eclipse viewed from the moon, did they see any Bailey's beads coming from earth?
Hey Fraser! I’m a volunteer program committee member for a dev conference and would like to bring in some space related speakers who could geek out about the tech and software solutions in their work with for example cubesats, space habitats, etc. Can you recommend anyone from EU?
I believe you pronounced “Ordovician” incorrectly. Sorry, I hate correcting people. It’s interesting that paleontology and astrophysics have common topics.
Let's just say it's his Canadian accent :-P
