Alien Atmosphere Inspector. The Pandora Telescope
NASA is launching a new telescope this year called Pandora. It'll be specifically inspecting atmospheres of exoplanets. It even uses spare parts from JWST. Learning more about the Pandora telescope in this interview.

It looks like this is a $20 million contract. If the mission gets extended, how much would it cost per year to keep it going? What determines the cost?
If we turned the Hubble Space Telescope toward Earth, what degree of resolution would it have? Or is it too close to do that? Are there likely already spy satellites with Hubble-sized mirrors in orbit looking down at Earth?
Although it’s interesting that they’ll be able to “compare notes” between JWST and Pandora observations of the same stellar systems. I’m curious if the Pandora team thinks they may be able to generalize their findings? Could observations from other observatories be put through models based on Pandora star characterizations to compensate for stellar contamination in the data even though Pandora never observed that specific star?
