Things Falling Into Black Holes, Interstellar Medium, Beyond Science | Overtime Q&A 4
What happens to the stuff that falls into black holes? Do supergiants have sunspots? How can you do a gravitational slingshot from the Sun? Answering all these questions and more in this week's Overtime Q&A.

I appreciate your gentle handling of the Starship question. Starship still has a lot to prove and none of that is guaranteed.
It depends on whether you support the static Schwatzchild equation or the rotating blackhole of the Kerr equation. Schwartzchild suggest that there is a singularity and you would be sucked in and become part of the blackhole. Kerr suggests that the mass density is a ring and you could orbit it or even sling shot out to who knows where, possibly not even this Universe, maybe a white hole and then get chucked out to another Universe. Additionally un-fed blackholes decay due to X-ray emissions and eventually the energy will be subject to entropy, like everything else. Ultimately, if you enter a blackhole you become part of the heat death of the Universe or Universes. Looking for guinea pigs? No thanks!
