Thank you for your additional contribution, that's amazing. If I could be a part of a child's lifelong fascination with space and astronomy, that would be an amazing accomplishment. :-)
Thank you for answering my question! I increased my contribution as a result. I must say that I love that you read people's names who contribute. Not just for me, but imagine a child who asks him mom to constribute and they do, even $1.00, and you say the child's name in the video. How exciting for the child! It is one way, I think, to greatly encourage along with the fascinating topics. Thanks so much!
If aliens came to Earth and told us they were planning to colonize Mars, I'd tell them that we consider all of the material bodies in this solar system to be the rightful property of the current inhabitants of the solar system. I'd suggest, however, that we would willingly relinquish our rights to Mars IF the aliens would share their science and technology with us and help us build working starships of our own. If nothing else, I suspect that any civilization advanced enough to get to this solar system would give us a leap forward in terraforming, say, Venus if we wanted. But personally, I think the rotating cylinders in space that Isaac talks about are the early way for us to go.
What if the aliens didn't answer? What if they just moved in to Mars and never talked to us?
... "resting serious face". Yup. I have that too.
It's the holodeck. ;D Seriously, this amused me so much ever since I first stumbled across the Guide to Space videos—dude standing in the middle of the forest talking about space things. Have you ever had people walk by and give you weird looks? RE: Aliens setting up shop on Mars: Humanity would FREAK. And probably manage to blow itself to smithereens trying to prove how vastly superior and advanced it is. *hands popcorn to the aliens* Great question, I want to see someone do a take on this with a Science Fiction novel pretty please? ... Shrimp farms on Enceladus. Someone do a SciFi novel on this as well, kthx.
We've had people walk by, stare, and then interrogate us at the end about space. We now bushwhack a little into the woods so we don't get interrupted.
Mate how many bites did you get from this lol
Quite a few. I suspect you're going to see them in the blooper. They were mostly midges, which worse than mosquitoes since they just chomp you with their creepy little mouthparts.
