CA3D Painting Contest — Ready Your Brushes! 🎨
The winner and the top 10 entries will be selected by @Groundeffected and featured in a video showcasing the projects.
If we reach the goal of 250 final entries, all contest participants will receive the "ALL-STARS" pack, a collection featuring our 10 most popular models in the history of our Patreon.
To participate in the contest, please fill out this short form at the bottom of the post.
Only the scales provided on our Patreon will be accepted.
Participants must be active subscribers at the time the prize is awarded (December 24).
The painting process must take place during the contest period, models painted prior to this timeframe will not be accepted.
Participants must share at least 2 photos of their creation process (WIP – Work in Progress) on Instagram using the hashtag #ca3dcontest, or via the dedicated contest channels on the CA3D Discord server. The final, completed work must be posted on Instagram using the same hashtag, while tagging @ca.3d.studios.
Entries are individual, please submit only work created by yourself.
Each participant may enter with only one project.
Contest Details:
Prizes: $1,200 USD for 1st place, $650 USD for 2nd place, $450 USD for 3rd place, and $250 USD for 4th through 10th place.
Contest Duration: November 3 to December 10.
Announcement of Winners: December 24, 2026.
The grand winner and the top 10 will be announced on our social media channels.

Does an already primed model count or would you consider this to be pre painted?

Can I paint bust instead of the full model?
Yes, busts can be used as entries
Is doom slayer eligible for enter? I managed fo download it before you had it removed
Doom is the only model in our entire catalog that cannot be chosen.

It can also be done via Discord. We have a dedicated channel on our server where participants can post their final work.
Couldn't the deadline be extended a bit? Most contests allow for at least 60 days. Since this has already been announced and is currently underway, it comes as a surprise, making it difficult to get organized—choosing a model, preparing it for printing, the actual printing, finishing, painting, and taking photos, all while balancing one's regular daily routine.
Unfortunately, we cannot extend the deadline.
I don't think much of my skills but wanted to do your spider man and this is perfect opportunity to make myself finally do it and participate in a contest for first time ever 😀 can't wait to see everyones work!

Any chance to participate with 1/4 scale?
To preserve the integrity of the competition, only the scales provided by us will be accepted, there are some really old models that we provided in the 1/4 scale so you can use that

Is there a set of models to chose from, or can it be any model?
Any model from our catalog can be used for the contest, there are no other restrictions regarding that.
