The Marvelous Mermaids Trait Mod
Hello Everyone!
The Marvelous Mermaids are a powerful breed of Sulani mermaids.
These mermaids have fewer weaknesses than regular mermaids.
They are very playful and tend to love aquatic animals as well as all animals.
They start out with and develop a higher friendship with animals than normal.
Their wealth is gained mostly through treasure hunting the in vast depths of the oceans.
They also receive blessings from their ancestors and some might take on a career for which they have a passion.
Sims with The Marvelous Mermaids Trait are already mermaids and The Island Conservation Stage is updated to it's final cleaned up stage upon their entrance into the world.
So, apply this trait to your Sim(s) that don't have the mermaid trait and before adding the other mermaid traits to avoid a harmless exception.
The trait is hereditary and is available for newborns through elders although Sims with the trait don't really age beyond adult.
(For pretend only) Let's say it can also be passed to other Sims as a special blessing of favor.
I might add this later.
Now, The Marvelous Mermaids have very high metabolisms and don't require much sustenance to survive.
Their recovery rates from physical and mental exertion are extremely fast.
They gain friendship with humans, other mermaids, and animals rather quickly as well.
As mentioned earlier, upon entrance into the world of Sulani, the island's conservation is automatically set to the final stage where the beaches and oceans are nice and clean.
They will receive some mermaid kelp and reap "Making A Difference."
Occasionally someone will come along and litter having a red exclamation mark above their head.
Just have someone to confront them about their wrong doing or educate them on island conservation and all will remain well.
They don't have to devote as much time to beach combing trash in order to keep their environment clean.
A little effort goes a long way and you'll notice that they are not continually plagued for doing good.
Your Marvelous Mermaids are islanders and will automatically take a liking to Island Music which is just one of the things the island ancestor spirits will like about them.
They can summon them and commune with them from time to time.
They should participate in island activities occasionally to receive favor and blessing from the ancestors.
Now, if your mermaids seem agitated for no apparent reason, it could be a mischievous adult or child spirit that is littering, sabotaging objects, and things like that.
So, look around and if that be the case, click on them and banish them from your property.
Most of the things I find too repetitive and of no value, I've reduced in frequency or blocked altogether such as the constant puddles.
So, the ancestors, if any, (that's if your lot has island spirits) will give your players time and opportunity to gain their favor.
Most of the cooldowns for use of their powers have been blocked, so they can use their powers as often as you or they will.
However, if any have the Sulani Mania trait, it has been blocked and replaced with the trait called Summon Ancestral Meteorite. (Their basically the same)
This ability is the same as Sulani Mania, however they don't perform it autonomously as often and so far I haven't seen them bomb their own home and risk setting their property on fire as with the Sulani Mania trait.
The Ancestral Meteorite can also be user directed (chosen by you) as often as you will without any cooldowns.
The Marvelous Mermaids like to use these powers autonomously, but nothing obsessively...

They all have the AquaticLure effective fishing skill.
As with all mermaids, The Marvelous Mermaids can call storms or make the skies clear.

Want The Beach Clean? - They magically clean the entire beach.
Want The Ocean Clean? - They magically clean the entire ocean.
May I Sing You A Lullaby?
Funny Interactions
Listen to my alter ego - They perform a fake evil laugh. (Counts Towards "Tell Joke" Goals)
Funny Prank Interaction
Look deeply into my eyes... - If successful, a storm should instantly arise. I haven't tried it yet due to rain and thunderstorms being turned off, but it should work and Seasons is required.
Friendly Interactions
Island Ancestors Meteor - It's basically a Sulani Mania interaction.
Let Me Refresh U - A MotiveFilling Hug.
Let Me Relieve U of Your Unpleasant Feelings - A motivating hug that fills motives and relieves target Sim's stress.
Friendly Affection Interactions
Hydrate Friend - I noticed you were a little dehydrated - (If a normal mermaid gets dehydrated and is in the presence of a Marvelous Mermaid, they will be offered hydration)
Romantic Affection, but not in that romantic interactions menu. (It's performed by clicking on the Sim with whom they are in relations.)
Kiss In The Water - Yes, normal mermaids can do it as well, but there's no cooldown with this one.

Set Them Up For A Shark Encounter - Certain conditions must be met such as having an altercation.
You have really crossed the lines with me! - (It's time to put those hands up and fight!)
Summon Ocean Threat Against Enemy! - It's The Siren Call Pull Under without any cooldown.
The Marvelous Mermaid Trait Menu Options:
There is an option to conveniently add or remove The Marvelous Mermaid Trait.
It also has the option to add or remove the regular mermaid trait from active Sim.
An Additional Mermaids Trait Picker has a few more mermaid traits that can be chosen for your Sim.
Choose A Beach Venue Lifestyle or Occupation
Add or Remove The Disgusted characteristic from Children Of The Ocean.
Dive For Treasure (It's just a cheat; they will not dive, but receive treasure into their inventory)
Making A Difference (Island Conservation)
Play Together Under Waterfall
Protection From The Sun's Harmful UV Rays (They are already protected, but you can add protection to other Sims as well.
Beachcomb Trash (Cleanup The Beach)

Reaping The Blessings - Choose which ancestral blessings you want your Sim to receive. (The Marvelous Mermaids have high motives and happiness, so these blessings will increase their mirth causing them to be hysterical, however they can't die from hysteria.)
Re-Hydrate Self
Remove Tan (For removing tans instantly from any Sims that have received a tan)
Tan Decay Disabled (Off)

Tame The Volcano - If the lot has volcanic activity, the Marvelous Mermaids should be able to tame the volcano. I haven't successfully tested this one yet.
Fishing Menu - Set Fish Trap
Swimming Features - Summon Shark by clicking on your Marvelous Mermaid or the ocean. They only appear for a brief moment and there is no cooldown, so summon as many and often as you will.
Switch To & From Mermaid Form - If your mermaid has more than one occult as a hybrid, they probably have a glitch where they are stuck walking on their tail or swimming on dry ground after leaving the ocean.
At least this feature can be used to resolve this issue by enabling you to manually switch on & off the mermaid form without losing their mermaid occult.
Just place the .ts4script and the .package files directly into your mods folder or no deeper than one subfolder.
Also make sure script mods and custom content are enabled in your game options.
