SEPULCHRE
Something of an experiment, this one - I wanted to see if I could saw off the Resistance System (the one that Chris and I wrote that powers Heart and Spire) into a single page, and also stick some setting in there too.
Sepulchre is a testament to my ability to make paragraphs as small as humanly possible whilst still leaving them vaguely legible. If you're having problems reading the illustrated version, there's a text-only version as standard below as well.
Is Sepulchre set in the same world as Spire? Probably, yes. We haven't mentioned any hi-tech cities buried under the ice powered by ancient relics, but that doesn't mean that they aren't there. You know what Spire's like. There's probably twenty of the buggers.
Anyway. I hope you have fun with it - it was an interesting challenge and I'm happy with how it worked out.

Hmpf... OK, thanks either way :)
Ah, I don't remember really! I recommend you use whatever method feels appropriate for you and your table.
Hi there! I really like this simplified version of Resistance System used in Sepulchre :) I have one question though. WHEN can a fallout be chosen in this version (just after getting some stress? anytime?) and WHO is supposed to choose the fallout's power (the player says "I want to remove 3 points of stress" and the GM decides what does it mean in fiction? the player and the GM negotiate the stress value and fiction repercussions? any player can suggest?). I think this changes a lot the overall deadliness of stress in the game (because when you have at least one stress already, you can actually die in one action) and thus influences the balance a lot. And I'm not sure what is the balance that you were going for in this little game :) Thanks in advance!
