The In-flight Collection
I am about to get on a plane for 22 hours. I am going to deal with the stress of doing such a thing by writing as many short roleplaying games as I can.
Here's what I want from you - ideas. Stupid ideas. Good ideas. Bad ideas. Concepts. Jokes. Puns. Weird restrictions on dice and rules. Unusual mechanics you'd like to see implemented.
(The last time I did this, the only game I produced was called "HEY KIDS, LET'S ALL MEET THE GIN WIZARD." I'm hoping to do better this time.)
The games will not be long; about two pages each, if I want to get 'em done. But I want to turn this trip - which is a source of worry because I don't know how to fill 22 hours - into a source of inspiration, because I need to squeeze every second out of those 22 hours!
(Also I will probably use the flight back if I don't get anything decent written on the first flight)
So; ideas, please. I have a few myself, but I love working within defined limits.

A game to be printed on beer coasters that somehow uses the arrangement of the coasters (beer on, beer off, flipped over, touching another coaster, distance from malt vinegar, etc.) mechanically.
Wow, with no line breaks, I sound (even more) like a crazy person. There are meant to be six separate thoughts there.
It formatted properly in my email, no worries. (But yes, it makes you look insane.)
A game that can reasonably be titled, "The Cheese Stands Alone". A game set inside a giant whale, as seen in Pinocchio/the story of Jonah, with strong moral themes. A game where one of the resolution mechanics is competitive Country or Blues song titles... or is that too similar to the "competitive haiku" mechanic seen in... the game I cannot remember the name of? I just like the idea of characters called things like "Shamblin' Jones" and "Husky Bill Hancock". A resolution mechanic involving Cornish pasties. Dwarves on a quest for living rock to carve into children; the game is in the discussions each night around the campfire, where they talk about why they want to have kids. Maybe do something inspired by The Mountain Witch, in terms of cards with hidden agendas, trust, and betrayal? A game where you use the honeybee's "waggle dance" in some way.
A game about navigating a festival (of any kind) without losing your sanity, all your money or your friends. Bonus points for avoiding all the morons & minus points for seeing the worst forms of "entertainment" that can be produced. Or, how would you create & promote the worst show in the universe? Note: my world may be a bit Comedy Festival oriented at the moment.
