Update
Hey everyone,
Just a quick update from me. I’ve fallen a little behind with the video content this month and I’m struggling to get everything finished and published at the pace I’d like.
Rather than continuing to chase the backlog, I’ve decided to take a short break to catch up, get things organised again, and give myself a bit of breathing room to get the video content back on track.
Because of that, Patreon billing will be paused for one month, so nobody will be charged during that time.
I won’t be disappearing completely, I’ll still be working away behind the scenes, catching up on unfinished content, and I’ll continue to publish some PDF content during the month as well.
Hopefully this gives me the chance to reset properly and come back in a much better position, rather than constantly feeling like I’m trying to catch up.

Hey I think it's just paused for anyone who was subbed pre August 29th for 1 month until September 29th but it doesn't change your normal renewal date if that makes sense.
Echoing others here but, Dave, please take the time you need to be able to continue doing what you do! Everyone here is here to support you and, we’ll always be happy to wait for you! We’re not going anywhere, good luck with the catch up and, hope life’s treating you well 🙌
First of all, Let me tell you that your honesty is not of this world. Given the quality of what I have enjoyed so far, I don't mind to keep it active during your break. We are here to support you, not to pay a ticket for the movie theater... From my side, I am immensely grateful for your work and your efforts to share it with us

I just joined a month or so back after I saw your tutorials on YouTube and have never looked back. Rest up and thanks for everything!
Honestly, your tutorials have made such a huge difference to my painting. When I first got into the hobby, I really wanted to get somewhere close to the ’Eavy Metal style, and your Ultramarines tutorial was the one I kept coming back to again and again. I started with the Starter Set, so it was basically perfect timing 😄 Eventually I joined the Patreon, and the level of detail in the tutorials is just incredible. The biggest win for me has definitely been faces — I used to avoid them whenever I could, but your tutorials finally gave me the confidence to actually paint them. With my new Black Templars I’ve painted the first faces I’m genuinely happy with, and even tried a dark skin tone for the first time and loved how it turned out. Absolutely brilliant content. Really happy to be a Patreon subscriber and genuinely grateful for everything I’ve learned from your tutorials!

Dave you are the GOAT, I am here to just support you so you can earn a living and do what you love day in and day out. You could literally stop for a year, bill me each month you are absent, I wouldn’t care. One of the good ones in this world that deserves some of my hard earned dollars 🙏🤘💪
I can’t speak for others, obviously, but I’d rather you didn’t pause it mate. Setbacks happen and deadlines get pushed in all sorts of businesses, look at the AAA games industry. Doesn’t mean you should be eating ramen for a month. As long as you aren’t our next Star Citizen I’m happy.
Working like this can feel like being stuck on a treadmill. And that's because it is a treadmill, lacking the holidays you'd get if you had a traditional job. It's made harder because you are doing something creative and I guess you feel extra pressure making things that meet your own high standards. So if you need to reset, do it. In the medium to long term its better for us, and we will get quality content we crave, but most importantly it's better for you, because burn out is terrible.
Dear Dave, I was at Warhammer world today with a good friend and I was pointing out all the minis I know you painted for the cabinets, while telling him how you, through your work and tutorials, taught me all about mini painting and helped me get Silver, Gold medals and finalist placements in Iron Skull and other competitions. Your work is amazing, your style makes us better painters and you should take all the time you need to balance work and personal life. I’m sure we will be here to enjoy your content and learning. Hey Dave remember why you started this journey? That’s why we are here with you 🤘 everything you do for us here is the most appreciated so I say no need for pause in billing. I do know once you’re ready it will be the sickest !

Don't force yourself to commit to too much. We all need breaks and we'd rather have a gap than have you drive yourself nuts trying to keep up! Mental health first!
