Part 1

Xiao Yifeng simply raised his hand lightly, and in an instant, he pulled Crown Prince Dai Yun from the bed into his grasp.

Gripping Dai Yun by the throat, he said seriously,  “Unfortunately for you, everything I have seen and heard along the way has made me very angry. What I want… Is your life.”

Xiao Yifeng was neither a wanton killer nor any sort of saint. Yet along this path, he saw Yuanhai Kingdom had been thrown into chaos by these two, leaving the common people in utter misery.

The absurd deeds of Crown Prince Dai Yun were too numerous to recount, and Xiao Yifeng could not fathom any reason to spare his life.

Crown Prince Dai Yun struggled desperately in his grasp. Lin Fei attempted to intervene, but a single glance from Xiao Yifeng froze her in place.

Suddenly, the grand doors of the hall burst open, and three women stormed in. Each was breathtakingly beautiful, precisely three of the four maidens of Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, and Chrysanthemum whom Xiao Yifeng had once seen.

“I must ask, fellow daoist,” Lan’s voice rang clear, sharp as a blade, “why have you taken Crown Prince Dai Yun hostage? Do you intend to make an enemy of Tender Blossom Pavilion? I advise you to release him—or face our wrath!”

Xiao Yifeng glanced at her, gave a sly grin, and shrugged. “Bad luck for you, but I kinda feel like messing with your Tender Blossom Pavilion today.”

With that, he dragged Crown Prince Dai Yun before him, leaning close to whisper in his ear: “Watching Lady Wang’s performance, I thought you might have grown, but it seems you’re still just a tiny earthworm.”

Crown Prince Dai Yun’s eyes widened, struggling to speak, when Xiao Yifeng applied a slight force with his hand.

The prince’s neck twisted, and he died on the spot, eyes wide open in defiance even in death.

Xiao Yifeng tossed him to the ground as casually as one might throw a dead chicken, causing Lady Wang in the hall to scream in terror.

“You!! How dare you! In that case, you shall remain here,” Orchid Maiden said, unable to believe he had acted so decisively and actually killed Crown Prince Dai Yun on the spot.

Orchid Maiden, Bamboo Maiden, and Chrysanthemum Maiden immediately formed a formation, encircling Xiao Yifeng.

Black mist coiled like living shadows around Xiao Yifeng’s hand, and the Immortal Slayer sword materialised in his grip, gleaming with ominous light. His lips curved into a wicked smile. “Who will survive this… Remains to be seen,” He whispered, a chill threading through his voice.

He had been eager to test the secret he had wrested from the Book of Destiny. One-sixth of the book held a single Destiny Technique; by fortune—or cunning—he had claimed half of it, three hidden arts, and now was the time to see their power.

In the quiet of his mind, he intoned: Destiny is mine!

This so-called “Destiny is mine” was in fact a secret technique to alter a person’s fortune.

Then, terrifying black smoke emanated from the Immortal Slayer sword, instantly enveloping the entire hall.

After half a cup of tea, the smoke cleared. On the ground remained three shrivelled corpses; the women who had been enchanting moments ago were now turned into mummy.

Xiao Yifeng held the Immortal Slayer sword like it was just a fancy pen. With a flick of his hand, crimson flames shot out and—poof—burned those three corpses to ash.

These three attendants were merely eighth-turn Golden Core realm cultivators. With Xiao Yifeng now at the ninth level of Foundation Estabilishment realm, and having employed the Destiny Technique, killing them was as easy as slaughtering dogs.

Even Xiao Yifeng had not anticipated just how overpowered the “Destiny is mine” truly was. Once unleashed, his own fortune soared through the roof, and each strike he delivered rippled with a terrifying Quadruple Resonance.

This was no mere luck—it was the raw, unyielding flow of destiny itself bending to his will.

Sheathing the Immortal Slayer sword back into its' sheath, he released the secret technique, the air around him settling into a tense, expectant calm. With slow, deliberate steps, he approached Lin Fei and the terrified Lady Wang.

Lady Wang’s face had drained of all colour, her body trembling violently as she shrank toward the bed’s corner, her voice cracking with desperation: “Don’t… don’t kill me! Please, spare me!”

Lin Fei was also terrified by his strange technique, her face turning pale. These were three Golden Core Realm experts, wiped out in the blink of an eye.

“Spare me, senior!” Forgetting her lack of clothing, Lin Fei rose and knelt before Xiao Yifeng, bowing her head, exposing her pale back, evoking endless thoughts.

Xiao Yifeng walked to her, slightly bending, reaching out to gently lift her chin, raising her upper body. He smiled: “Lady Lin Fei, do you know why I have not killed you yet? Guess correctly, and I may spare your life.”

Lin Fei froze, uncertainty clouding her mind.

Then she suddenly realised a possibility. She remained kneeling, grabbing Xiao Yifeng’s hand, pressing it against her pale back.

“As long as senior spares my life, Lin Yao is willing to do anything, serving you for all eternity,” Lin Yao forced a smile and said.

Her touch was warm, soft, and unnervingly smooth. Xiao Yifeng held it, effortlessly lifting her from the ground. His smile deepened with dark amusement. “Lady, you are indeed wise to recognise the situation.”

Lin Fei slowly stood up as he helped her to her feet. A relieved smile appeared on her face. It seemed she had guessed correctly.

Xiao Yifeng slowly leaned close to her small ear and chuckled softly.  “Pity you guessed wrong. I only wanted to tell you that it’s been many years since we last met. Lin Fei is still as small and delicate as ever.”

Lin Fei’s whole body froze.  Her beautiful eyes widened as she looked at Xiao Yifeng in disbelief.

Wasn’t that fellow a righteous disciple of the Heaven Inquiry Sect? Why was he emitting such demonic aura?

The realisation struck her instantly.  Xiao Yifeng still intended to kill her. Otherwise he would never have revealed his identity.

Her body trembled. Suddenly she threw her arms around Xiao Yifeng. Her hands began roaming restlessly over his body, attempting to stir his desire.

Lin Fei said with a trembling voice, almost crying, “Please… don’t kill me. I’m willing to do anything for you. I won’t reveal your identity.”

Xiao Yifeng slowly stroked her beautiful hair and said gently, “Your Highness should not behave so undignified. Do not be afraid. Cause and effect follows its cycle. In your next life, do not commit evil again.”

Lin Fei gradually became quiet in his arms. She slowly closed her eyes and fell weakly from his embrace.

Xiao Yifeng watched the delicate body that had once been enchanting and had captivated countless people slowly grow cold.

Another faint, ghostly flame flicked from his hand and landed on her body, instantly burning it to ashes.

Xiao Yifeng then looked towards the surviving beauty in the hall, Wang Meiren. The woman was so terrified she could barely cry properly, and the floor beneath her was already wet.

Xiao Yifeng ignored her completely. Turning into a wisp of black smoke, he instantly flew out of the great hall and headed toward the other cultivators within the palace.

He quickly eliminated all the forces left behind here by Tender Blossom Pavilion. As for the remaining matters, with the intelligence of Zhang Tianzhi and Yuge, they would naturally know how to deal with them.

Xiao Yifeng did not linger in the slightest. He swiftly flew out of the palace and, after finding a secluded place to change back into his original clothes, planned to return to the inn and sleep for a long while.

While passing through the night market, Xiao Yifeng suddenly stopped in front of a stall. It was a stall selling small cloth dolls, with many different dolls hanging from it.

Xiao Yifeng walked over almost unconsciously and stared fixedly at one of the white fluffy dolls. It was a small pig-shaped toy about the size of a fist, completely covered in white fur, lying there as if sound asleep.

“Young master, is it for your beloved? I can embroider some words on it for you,” the middle-aged stall owner asked.

Xiao Yifeng nodded, bought the doll, and asked the stall owner to embroider the character “Yan” on the pig’s forehead before placing it into his storage ring.

Seeing Yuge earlier had reminded him of Liu Hanyan. Liu Hanyan actually quite liked fluffy things like this.

Looking at the doll, he inexplicably felt it suited Liu Hanyan very well. So he bought it, thinking he might give it to her if he ever had the chance. Though he did not know whether she would accept it.

However, when he opened the door to his room, he discovered that Su Miaoqing was already sitting inside, glaring directly at him.
