Act 6-4: It Was Supposed to be A Peaceful Day

　「What the hell was that for?! That’s pretty dangerous even for a prank, Chris!」
　
　I rose to my feet alongside Bell and shouted at Chris. “Back from a mission and you immediately start swinging at me — and in the middle of a public street, no less?!”
　
　However, instead of showing any remorse, Chris glared at me even more fiercely and shouted back.
　
　「Shut it! Today’s the day I kill you! And then I’ll take back my true self!!」
　「Woah?!」

　And then, kicking off the ground, Chris once again brought her greatsword down at me. Still clutching Bell, I hastily leapt to the side, managing to dodge at the very last moment.
　
　「Dammit! Don’t you dare run! Be obedient and let me kill you!」
　「Don’t screw with me! Why the hell should I be the one getting killed?!」
　「Why?! You’re asking why?! You stole something precious from me! Take responsibility for turning me into a giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirl!!!」

　Infuriated by such outrageous nonsense, I snapped back at him, only for Chris to bellow even louder and drop an absolutely scandalous bombshell.

　You idiot! I get the gist of what you’re trying to say, but you’re leaving out way too much! And shouting something that blunt in the middle of the street――

　――Murmur murmur murmur…

　See?! The onlookers who’d been watching our argument were starting to buzz! And most of the women were giving me that cold, trash-disposal sort of look!
　
　「Geez, sis! What are you doing?!」

　As I stood there bewildered at suddenly being pushed into such a hostile position, a handsome, host-like man pushed his way through the crowd. He was Chris’s younger brother, Yuri Schrader, a fellow member of the Platina Class.

　「Hey! I’ve told you over and over to call me “big brother”!」

　「Is this really the time for that?! One moment you’re suddenly sprinting off, and the next you’re causing a scene in the middle of the city! For the love of god, stop doing things that drag the demons’ reputation through the mud!」
　「B-but! Rakuichi was right there! And because of him, I lost something precious, my damn willy’s gone you know?!」

　What on earth was this girl shouting that for? And so that’s what she meant by “something precious”?!
　
　「It’s his fault that I ended up with this kind of body! As long as he’s gone, I could go back to being the strong, cool, male Chris Schrader!」
　「You’re still going on about that? Your body’s already pretty much that of a girl, so you might as well give up and accept the new you, it’ll make life a lot easier, yeah? Right, sis?」
　「CALL ME BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!」

　After Yuri’s lukewarm attempt at persuasion, and being treated like his elder sister on top of that, Chris clutched her greatsword and collapsed to the ground in tears. Whoa… I might be the one who was attacked here, but this was honestly painful to watch. I know full well that Chris’s claims were nothing but baseless accusations, but… I couldn’t help feeling a bit guilty.
　
　「Yeah, sorry about that, big bro. My sister’s caused you trouble.」

　Yet while I was feeling a pang of guilt, Yuri, who was supposed to be Chris’s little brother, ignored Chris completely and spoke to me instead. He never said a word to Chris despite all that pleading, but insisted on calling me “big bro.” Honestly, couldn’t he do something about that? I mean, Chris was his twin, so she should actually be my senior.
　
　「Well, yeah… I mean, sure, I was shocked when he suddenly took a swing at me, but still…」
　「Ahaha… But sis is actually planning to reunite with big bro in a much more normal way, you know? To use this as a chance to mend the rocky relationship up to now.」
　「Mend... rocky relationship?」
　「Yeah. You know how sis just kept coming at you with that incomprehensible logic earlier, right? Well, she was actually planning to use this mission, with its six-month gap, as a chance to turn the rocky relationship into a clean slate. Look, dressing herself up all cute like this was part of the plan too. Right, sis?」
　
　At the end of his teasing, when Yuri turned the conversation her way, Chris let out a strange little squeak, before turning bright red and starting to shout.
　
　「Y-You’re mistaken! This outfit was something Mum sent to me… And you’re the one who forced me into it before we left!!」
　「Well, yeah, that’s true. But Mum’s always said she wanted a daughter… Still, if you hated it that much, you could’ve just changed during one of our breaks, right? You’d already decided to go see big bro before that, after all.」
　「Ugh, gununununu...」

　But with Yuri so easily talking her into a corner, Chris bit her lip and fell silent. Seeing his sister’s reaction, Yuri glanced back at me.

　「Sis is the type who just can’t be honest with herself. Even so, she got all dressed up, something she’s not used to, because it’d been so long since she last saw you. But then, when she finally saw you for the first time in months, and seeing that you’re with such an adorable girl, it’s only natural that she’s going to get jealous, right?」
　「Eh? Me?」
　
　Yuri looked down at Bell as if scrutinising her. I mean, seriously dude? So what you’re trying to say is this useless, incompetent, harmful, and hopeless goddess looked like my girlfriend to you? You must be kidding me, right? Where’s my lawyer? I’m going to sue him for this slander.
　
　「I-I AM NOT JEALOUS! WHY SHOULD I BE?! I JUST WANT TO KILL RAKUICHI!」
　「Your face is flushed red, sis, that doesn’t make what you’re saying any more convincing.」
　「YOU’RE MISTAKE~~~~~~~~N!」
　「WOAH! E-EH? Rakuichi-san. Are we by chance---」
　「Eh?」
　「M-My apologies...」
　「Oh? Good for you, sis, looks like she’s not his girlfriend after all. Seems like there’s still a chance.」
　「MY BROTHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!」
　
　I was seething with anger. Bell looked downcast. Yuri laughed. Chris was crying and screaming. There was no way to stop this chaos.
　
　「If she’s not your girlfriend, then that’s perfect. Actually, I have a favour to ask of you, big bro.」
　
　And then, the only one who seemed to be enjoying the situation, Yuri stepped closer to me and whispered softly in my ear.
　
　「I know this might sound strange, but… Would you go out with my sister?」
　「Eh? Is this “going out” means...」
　「Yes, become her boyfriend... Rather, would you mate with her?」
　「Eh?!」
　「W-WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, YURIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII?!」
　
　Yuri’s unexpected advice startled me. But even more shocked was Chris. Apparently, this was an impromptu suggestion from Yuri.
　
　Ignoring Chris’s flustered reaction, Yuri continued speaking to me.
　
　「Honestly, I think that’s the only way to help sis make up her mind, for her to live her life as a woman. And don’t worry about her body; she’s already a full-fledged female, so you can go ahead and mate with her without hesitation. It’s just that she hasn’t had her period yet, so no need for contraception――」
