There, in the southeastern corner of Babel, stood an old, dilapidated mansion. Padde and a few other students from Ouboro Academy knocked on the front door three times. After a brief pause, the door creaked open, revealing a man dressed in black robes, his face concealed by a black mask.
「Come in.」
And he gave a simple instruction.
Padde and co entered the mansion while keeping an eye on their surroundings. Surprisingly, the interior was far better maintained than the aged and deteriorating exterior. They had heard that this place was once a villa owned by a high-ranking noble of the Amelia Kingdom. The fact that the noble still retained ownership of the land and kept the interior well-maintained suggested that the mansion was prepared specifically for handling troublesome requests like this. Furthermore, this implied that the other party had a close connection with that noble.
The figure in black led Padde and his group to the audience hall, instructed them to sit on the leather sofas, and then left the room.
A few minutes later, the door to the adjacent room opened, and a big man with a rugged, square jaw and short hair entered the room, accompanied by several figures in black attire.
The big man sat down facing Padde and his group, took a cigar offered by one of his black-clad subordinates, placed it in his mouth, and had it lit.
「So, what kind of business does a young master like them have with us?」
Then, he turned to the frivolous-looking blond man in a hat standing behind him and asked.
「Yes, yes. The other day, I was consulted at the tavern. These young masters are nobles from the Amelia Kingdom, and they wish to commission a job from you and the『Black Stake』, boss.」
「A commission?」
「To punish the incompetent!」
The blond man immediately stated the purpose of Padde and his group's visit clearly.
「Incompetent? What the heck is that?」
The big man, who appeared to be the boss, asked his subordinates, but they only exchanged glances with each other.
「The gift holder of "The Most Incompetent in This World"!」
「I've heard of him. If my memory serves me right, he was a talentless human, forsaken even by our god Ares, wasn't he?」
「Ahh! You mean that world's weakest human! Kai Heineman, he's a well-known brat back in my hometown of Lamour!」
One of the subordinates in black attire responded as if he had just connected the dots.
「That's right. That weakest, incompetent fool has tarnished the pride of us nobles of the Amelia Kingdom!」
Padde promptly provided additional explanation.
「Hmm, I don’t get it. If he’s such a useless weakling, why don’t you nobles handle the punishment yourselves? Why rely on us, the 『Black Stake』?」
The boss of Black Stake got straight to the heart of the matter.
「That’s because that bastard is playing dirty by doping himself with ruin-class magic items!」
「Yes!」
「In short, what you're trying to say is that the incompetent guy is using some special tools to become strong, and you want us to help because you can't beat him?」
With a mocking snort, the boss of Black Stake asked Padde a question that was already obvious.
「Yes.」
As the reality that they couldn’t defeat that incompetent one sank in, anger threatened to consume him. Struggling to keep his composure, Padde managed to nod in affirmation.

「You have to follow our instructions. As long as you do that, we'll take care of everything else for you, young masters.」

Seeing Padde, who leaned forward and bowed his head slightly,

The boss of Black Stake urged his subordinates, and the hospitality for Padde and his group began.

The blond, shaven-headed man, Ter, shamelessly questioned the boss of Black Stake.

「You get it, eh! I'm gonna do whatever I want with that woman, alright?」
「Sure, go ahead. But in the end, that girl will be mine. Is that alright with you?」
「Sure. I'll eventually get bored of her, after all.」
「Then it's a deal! I'm off now!」
「Ou!」
Raising his right hand cheerfully while drinking, the boss watched as Ter turned his back and left the room.
Ter turned around gracefully and walked away under the moonlit night sky.
「Now everything is set in stone♪ Now, all that's left is to put the plan into motion♬」
As he hummed cheerfully, a man dressed in foreign white clothing stood behind him.
「Colonel Terter, Tartarus-sama is requesting a status report.」
「The capture of one of the singularity candidates is only a matter of time.」
「Tartarus-sama's order is to avoid standing out at all costs.」
「I know, it's a Singularity, after all. If word got out that we secured it without informing the Heavenly Army, even Tartarus-sama wouldn't get away unscathed.」
「Good. Just make sure you don't mess this up.」
The man in white spoke those words and then disappeared into the darkness of the night.
「Things are getting interesting. If Tartarus-sama absorbs the Singularity, he will rise above the other Six Heavenly Gods. And with this achievement, I will be able to take Thanatos' place as the top of the Tartarus faction!」
Colonel Terter spread his arms wide and let out a cry of joy.
