Kayla asked Yuuma with a puzzled look on her face as the latter turned around to see her.
Having worked together this far and reaching the lowest level, it seemed Kayla had started to put her trust in him.
「I'll go down and defeat the guardian.」
「That's too reckless... No matter how strong you are, that’s a monster no human can handle!」
「Oh, does that mean you recognize me as a human?」
Caught off guard by his remark, Kayla was flustered for a moment.

Yuuma entrusted the safekeeping of his pickaxe to Rui.
「Are you sure about this?」 asked Rui as he received Yuuma's pickaxe. Yuuma nodded silently and once again stood at the edge of the cliff.

Yuuma ignored Kayla's question as he jumped from the cliff, falling free-fall into the abyss—the bottom floor of the dungeon.
He was overwhelmed by the sensation of free fall, but gradually, the dimly lit bottom floor came into view.

Yuuma invoked wind magic, summoning a wind vortex that swirled up from the ground. His body was forcefully pushed upward, reducing his falling momentum until it came to a halt.

The surface of the trunk was blown away, and flames spread around. Just as Yuuma was about to continue his attack, he noticed the ground beneath him shaking violently.
The tree roots were writhing as if trying to break free.
Yuuma lifted his right foot and slammed it down onto the ground where the roots spread. The exploding soil shot into the air like a geyser, shredding the roots and plunging them into the flames.
As he stepped forward to launch the second round of attack, thick roots wrapped around his limbs from behind.
When Yuuma turned around, he saw a 'tree' using its roots like tentacles. It was one of the four trees that grew around the central giant tree.
Despite looking smaller, it was a giant tree by normal standards, towering over 50 meters tall.
『If I don't take this one down first, it'll keep getting in the way.』
Either way, all Kalpavriksha trees must be destroyed.
Yuuma changed his target to a slightly smaller tree and charged forward. As roots and vines wrapped around his limbs, he tore them apart, not slowing down as he plunged ahead.

He slammed it into the ground, causing the base of the tree to explode into pieces.
The area turned into a sea of flames. Nearly half of the fifty-meter-tall tree was engulfed in fire.
Yuuma unleashed his gauntlet sword in his left hand and started chopping the tree's trunk with it. The tree started cracking and bending as the fire spread afar, making a tearing sound as it began to break.
Although roots and vines from the other trees tried to interfere, Yuuma burned and exploded all of them to pieces.
The tree before him completely fell and sank into the sea of flames.
