In the midst of the dense jungle stood an isolated and strangely out-of-place mansion. In its study, reclining on a chaise longue was one of the Six Generals of the Evil Army, Loki, who was uncharacteristically deep in thought, frowning. Naturally, it was about the series of unexpected incidents that happened a while ago.
In this world, the game between the Heavenly Army and the Evil Army would inevitably end in the victory of Loki and the forces of the Evil Army, now that three of the Six Admirals had fully incarnated in this land. This was already a confirmed fact; everything from here on was mere entertainment. In this regard, the demon race had the appropriate aptitude to serve as vessels for the incarnation of the Evil Army. That was why he sought to use the demon named Neim to acquire more vessels.
Specifically, he had implanted the 【Seed of Madness】 in Neim to track her whereabouts. This seed had two effects: it allowed him to recognize Neim's location and condition, and it corrupted her mind, causing her to lose the ability to make rational decisions. However, Neim remained in an inn in the city called Barse and stopped moving from that place. The 【Seed of Madness】 caused its host to lose their sanity through feelings of anxiety and fear. Over a short period, this effect wouldn't have that much impact.
However, if this continued for nearly a month, the situation changed. If Neim was experiencing enough fear or anxiety to be paralyzed, the seed should have already bloomed and turned her into a monster. In addition, it would make no sense for a mentally unstable Neim to not return to her homeland, the Dark Kingdom. If interpreted literally, this implied that Neim was refusing to return to her homeland to prevent Loki and his group from influencing her homeland. Since that was the case, Neim was still retaining her sanity in her current state. This would also mean that the 【Seed of Madness】 failed to exhibit its full potential. Resisting that seed was impossible, even for high-ranking gods. If its effect was nullified, it pointed to one conclusion: there was another person who could neutralize the effect of the 【Seed of Madness】.
Even in a vast world, only one entity could perform such a feat—the Heavenly Army.
As if proving this theory, Loki received information that a new nation of monsterfolk and demons had been established in North Grand. Such a development held no benefit for the Evil Army. Loki tried to send a telepathic message to North Grand as soon as possible, yet it failed to connect. Up until now, the Evil Army's officers had been providing regular reports. However, after Loki's failed attempt to send a message, all communication abruptly ceased. Frustrated, Loki tried to return to the residence of the stationed Evil Army but failed to reach it. He tried to enter from the surface, from the sky, and even underground, but found himself back at his starting point with every single attempt. It appeared that the space itself had already been distorted and connected in a way that prevented access.
Moreover, Loki had taken thorough countermeasures with spells and items designed to nullify ordinary spatial manipulation techniques and skills. However, none of them had any effect. It was at this moment that Loki finally realized he had made a fatal miscalculation.
「Our opponent isn't the Heavenly Army. It's something far more abhorrent!」
There was no doubt that the entire stationed Evil Army was annihilated, considering such an absurd barrier was in place. That also indicated the defeat of the two admirals of the Evil Army, Asura and Angra. Moreover, it happened when they were completely incarnated in their full forms—and still lost.
In this regard, while the Heavenly Army was indeed one of the two superpowers that divided the world in two, it was by no means superior to the Evil Army. For those two pillars to be defeated would mean that the main forces of the Heavenly Army had descended upon this land. It was necessary to inform the Evil Army Headquarters of this matter as soon as possible. However, not only was it impossible to return to the headquarters located in another realm, even establishing contact had become impossible.

Fueled by rage, Loki crushed the armrest of his chair.

Loki stood up, grabbed his staff, and muttered a few words. Suddenly, he transformed into the appearance of a young human mage.
He was neither particularly close with the other six admirals nor particularly attached to them. Even so, they were comrades who pursued the same path of evil. Whoever did this shall never be forgiven. He would make them taste true despair.

Loki made that solemn vow and began to walk.
