ok so… I’m making a game 👀

Hey guys, how are you?

I’ve been keeping this quiet for a while, but I think I’m finally ready to show a little bit of it. Don't ask me how I end up here but I’m making my own game :D It’s called CASTAWAYS PIX a 2d pixel island life-survival simulator where you create your little Pix, build a shelter, collect things, take care of needs, decorate, survive, and slowly turn an empty beach into a home.

To be clear the main inspiration is The Sims Castaway :) This is not a remake or anything like that just heavily inspired by that feeling being stuck on an island, starting with almost nothing, and somehow making it cute lol. I’ve always loved that vibe so much. The game is still very WIP, and some parts are honestly messy as hell right now, but it’s already becoming a real thing.

So far I’ve been working on character creation, pix visual ekements, needs, inventory, building, furniture, rooms, lighting, weather, day/night, resources… basically all the little systems that make this kind of game feel alive.

Ngl I really want it to have mod support! Since you know me from ts4 CC, I can’t imagine making a life sim without CC. So I’m building it with that in mind for clothes, hair, furniture, textures, maybe custom packs later. I want people to be able to add their own stuff and make the game feel more personal ^^

The plan is to share updates here first: WIP screenshots, dev posts, some messy progress, and test builds when they’re ready. Patrons (all tiers) will get the early stuff before a wider release, which place I still have no idea :)

Important to say that I’m not quitting TS4. I’m still here, still making CC :* This is just a bigger project I’ve wanted to try for a long time.

I’m kinda nervous to post this because it’s still early, but I’m also excited to finally show what I’ve been cooking!!!
