November 2026: Aenoriia update

Hello friends,

It has been a while since my last update, and the team has been busy across Aenoriia! Here's what we have been working on.

The World Map

Here's a peek at the current world map with some of the major cities and points of interest labeled.

Ptolith

We've made a lot of progress on the grand city of Ptolith and the small neighboring town of Basilisk Landing! Both cities are vaguely inspired by ancient Greek and Roman architecture utilizing the beautiful white stone quarried from the nearby mountains alongside terracotta and even lapis roofs. The result is one of my favorite cities we've built and a deep and satisfying place to explore with

new surprises around every corner!

Tsaelakios

While not as finished as Ptolith, Tsaelakios holds a lot of unique charm with it's strict focus on military buildings and it's uniquely designed port. Much of Tsaelakios is still in the planning stages, but it's beginning to fill in nicely and the few finished builds in the city are truly spectacular.

Falraiza

While not as flashy or large as some of our other projects, Falraiza is a great example of taking a small premise and building it out into a small but functional town. The whole town of Falraiza is centered on a small temple built inside a large carved stone head in the middle of the town. The architecture is intentionally simpler with smaller raised huts and open pastures connected with simple dirt paths instead of grand paved city streets.

Fleurmaw

Fleurmaw isn't so much a town as it is an ancient ruin of one that has been overtaken by a host of beautiful carnivorous plants! Legends say that if you visit Fleurmaw at night you can see witchlights and other strange supernatural phenomena wandering the swamp. Whether these strange occurrences are local folklore or whether there really is something living in the ruins is a mystery that remains to be solved!

Argenciel

Argenciel is a small but densely populated city far up in the Gryall mountains. The color themes here lean heavily into gray scale builds with a distinctly gothic architectural style. The city itself was once a serene mountain bastion that has been taken over by vampires who have corrupted its inhabitants and sown the seeds of all manner of horrors in this once peaceful land.

Midraciel

Argenciel's sister city Midraciel gives us an interesting look into what Argenciel could have been had it not been overrun with the undead. The city of Midraciel is focused on the beautiful Arborforte, a magical research center that seeks to study and understand the many rare and unique plants found in the province of Envori Nea. The rest of the city serves to support the population of researchers while defending itself from the horrors that dwell deeper in the mountains.

Marrow

The city of Marrow is a metropolis built inside the fossilized skull of an ancient sea monster called a Leviathan! It is one of the most interesting and complex cities we've worked on, but when it's complete I anticipate it being magnificent. Marrow is another city still deeply in the planning stages. It is a very large project and presents the team with some very unique building constraints such as building within an enclosed space that is similar to, but not technically a cavern.

Granmor

Finally, our newest project, the lakeside city of Granmor! This city is only a few weeks old and already it's coming together beautifully! The design of the city is somewhat inspired by ancient Mesoamerican cultures like the Aztecs with a strong focus on color and art that isn't as common in our other city projects. It still has a long way to go, but it's off to a great start.

Map Club members, this month's world download is in the separate Map Club post, and if you would like to explore the world yourself, you are welcome to join the Map Club.

Sincerely,
