Episode 22: Empire Bin State Of Mind [With Guest Josh Boerman]
Hello! On this episode of Tran Girlismo, the girls are joined by Josh Boerman of Worst of All Possible Worlds and Ill-Conceived as we support his quest to guest-star on 52 podcasts in a single year.
First, the girls and Josh discuss the new-to-America Fiat Topolino, and then we turn to the Special Interest Josh brought along: NEW YAWK, LOVE DA METS, BABEY
That's right it's time to talk about DA TRASH, as New York wants to convert street parking into dumpsters instead of letting raw bags of waste bake on the sidewalk, which has rational automobile drivers furious, somehow,
Finally, Jordan gives us a rundown on the Freedom Fuel Gas Stations that cropped up all across the United States. [actually it was just in Philly for whatever reason]
Our opening theme as always is off the album Horse Tranquilizer Simulator by Stella Spazzatura and special thank you to our wonderful new editor @harmfulpark.bsky.social!

"We're Not Detroit!"
Are you telling me that there is more free parking in fucking Manhattan than downtown Oakland???
this episode was such a tour de force, absolutely excellent work
1:44:00 through the Shapes Place and into the (Current) Event(s) Horizon like Sam Neill (RIP).
Victoria, I done told you, girl, it’s pronounced “Kyle”. Everything else is acceptable.
I didn’t see that comment until after we recorded this since we go a week early - it’s fixed for the episode coming Thursday!
This is such a good episode.
How is it that NYC is just now catching up to rural Nebraska in terms of waste management?
“say you have a 50 mile commute—you’re a crazy person” I’m stuck at a 60 mile one right now and it is making me worse so you’re not wrong
"where's my damn estradiol lady?" -- ¯\(ツ)/¯
I live on the KS side of KC and work on the MO side of the metro area. 25 MPH max and can’t go on the highway? That’s untenable. And 45 mile range? I’d have to recharge every day. That’s a nope.
I was under the assumption that parking in New York should not affect politics because all the people who drive in New York vote in New Jersey
It's endlessly funny to me that the city of Buffalo figured out that trash bins were a good solution to their rat problem a full 25+ years before NYC. Buffalo. If you want to get an idea of how much effort Buffalo puts into their public infrastructure, look that their subway map.
re: vice signaling, yes and: I think they know it’s wrong, and Woke 1 made them feel bad and guilty—so they’ve worked backwards towards an ideology where they should NEVER HAVE TO FEEL GUILTY about anything. It’s the “sin of empathy” bullshit but also I think it all has the same root as people getting really pissed off at vegans.
WAIT HE'S STARTING A GAS STATION COMPANY... RIGHT AFTER HE RESTARTED THE WAR WITH IRAN.... god the scam is right there
okay, the topolino is cute. she's silly. she is absolutely going to get full-on vored by one of those chud rams if they catch even the faintest scent of her
Oh yeah it’s going to be a no survivors type situation
May I request your editor run their final through a dynamic range compressor? Audacity, REAPER and Audition all have very good ones included.
The price (when adjusted for inflation) of a base Corvette has actually been surprisingly consistent since the C4. Wages on the other hand ...
yeah a base model Vette is definitely like I'm a welder/branch manager/crane operator and I did quite good for myself type car
I think it funny a few years back I said voltzwagen as a joke in a stars without number setting and then volkswagen made an April fools joke out of it.
call me Steve Cohen the way i'm forcefemming in Manhattan
I work in San Francisco and FUCK ME. Is your van over 6'6"? Whelp, time to find street parking. What street parking? Good god damn question. I don't want to be here anymore, its scary
Excellent ep! Love how well Josh matches Victoria's energy
Former North Jerseyan here, you KNOW the could only have those freedom stations in south jersey. Most people I've met from down there are complete fucking chuds. People I know from up North would rather run their cars dry before putting a cent of trump's mystery juice in their tank.
im sorry the qaa discord convinced me the platner tattoo was not out of place for a former boot. tho watching that discord with platner is just like watching soul eater when they do that one face
When it happens they're gonna have to bury him in the middle of Area 51 to keep it from being an absolute lake of piss.
Listening to y'all knock the Fiat 500 Abarth while I was stopped at a light next to one that had two beautiful women in it was surreal.
I love the Abarth! They’re just not reliable at ALL lmao
people who complain about parking in NYC and the Manhattan congestion pricing should be hunted for sport ive got a good news for people who live somewhere in the US that have trouble dealing with their cars: you can go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE there's like 10 kilometer square in the entire country where it's MILDLY INCONVENIENT to have a car. IN THE COUNTRY I have that same struggle in Montreal. think of any place in Canada where you could drive a car. Any place. Literally anywhere else except a few blocks in downtown Vancouver and Toronto. literally anywhere else. But no. You have to piss me the fuck off here.
on that note it IS funny that it's also another one of those barbaric provincial backwaters that still insist on loose bags of trash on the sidewalk
"Everywhere I go, I see his face." *Sees Josh*
Hah! I knew she sounded like she practiced it last episode! Cause she did! And I got a chuckle from Jordan!
My plan is absinthe and dancing
Is trangirlismo very quiet compared to other podcasts for anyone else?
It’s pretty quiet for me too, but it’s not usually an issue unless I’m trying to listen on the subway
