help I don't know anything useful about cars beyond basic maintenance of my Subaru and my poor teenage cousin just called me to ask if she should get a 2024 4 cyl mustang with practically no mileage for $33k at 3.5%. This would be a quarter of her monthly budget but "I don't have other expenses" (*she gets threatened with being kicked out on a weekly basis and wants to go to community college). Her current car is an old Bug that loves to break and her dad hates to fix. Currently, it needs a wheel alignment for $60 and he's too lazy to drive her ass to a shop. This sounds completely fucking insane to me.
