I joined up after watching your American road trip, loved it. I noticed there were a few I couldn’t access (LA for example) so joined for extra videos. Same as everyone else, we dont want you to get burnout. Brilliant how you’ve figured out how to theme the videos and make them ahead so you can truly take a break. Work smarter, not harder! Love the real time, love the youtubes. We’re here for it!

I am watching your reruns. Love them even better. I also love hearing the people speak Portuguese. It is my First language. Love understanding what they are saying. I am in USA Rhode Island. Not far from NY. Does Crusou speak any Portuguese? I am an American now. Do miss my language.

Mostly I miss just the glimpse’s into behind the scenes. I’m not asking for personal drama, but the bloopers, moments or beauty and messiness are wonderful. I guess just to be remembered for being here behind your scenes. If you get my drift. Thank you for asking your channel is amazing. The part of Patreon I love is the knowledge that I am not behind in viewing. If you’re traveling or ten steps ahead of the video I know it. Somehow I don’t like to get left behind, lol

Thanks for this and there are already a heap of wonderful suggestions while mindfully making sure you don't 'overstretch' yourselves. A couple of things that might be quite useful to see occasionally are reflections - I think you already do this naturally but maybe looking at some of the things that you thought were important/ you'd like - that no longer hold the same importance/ attraction. Also where do you see yourselves in 3/5/10 years time. Also love the ideas of sharing great books etc.

I’m delighted with all your content and appreciate you asking. We watch as a family so my husband loves all of John’s projects big and small (building anything really!) we all love the gardening and travels but what I’d really like to see is more little trips closer to home. You’ve made us all fall in love with Portugal, it would be nice to see a coffee shop or walk through the streets, the river etc. oh and always what books and content you’re consuming! Xxx

You are doing fine with the channel. I love going on your f trips to the nursery, maybe taking us grocery shopping to see the difference from what we cook. But your gardening, lawn care, seeing how you problem solve without yelling at each other. It’s lovely to witness!

I'm pretty sure most of us are Patreons because we want to support you, less for the added content :) and saying that, I already love the bonus content. Always great to see cooking, chatting, gardening and Crusoe/Sawyer antics, but save the extra work of editing for the main channel.

I am totally up for some recipes and some raw video when you have the time. Which I can't figure out how you could have the time, but I will be delighted whenever it appears!

I’d try for a bi weekly update, (so every other week) either with pictures or footage that won’t make it in the normal episodes, maybe some exclusive stuff that you only share here. So you get some continuity going. Though I’ve missed most of the live meetings I’d try to do so maybe once per quarter, maybe have a theme each time. Maybe a trip with the Newby’s? Could be fun? Maybe? But you are doing just fine so don’t fret too much.

I hope you just keep doing what you’re doing, it is such a treat watching all that goes on in your lives.

I’d love to hear more regular everyday news, any unedited clips to keep us up to date, quick chats with people like Joao, or the builders and of course the boys! Also exploring your local area, walks, markets etc. I also think it’s interesting hearing how you manage to balance all the different aspects of your life with editing 2 or 3 videos a week with 2 small boys!!

Actually I already love the way it is.

Love the idea of bloopers but also little snippets of the boys. I’m not sure it’s fair on them but your boys are such lovely characters so a bit of content of you doing stuff with them / funny things they say and do / hear them learning Portuguese / doing stuff with Joao / Obi / the chickens etc. Maybe also little drives around the local area exploring new things? It’s hard to find content for a newsletter and Patreon and YouTube. Maybe keep it lean. It’s all wonderful and you make me feel part of your adventure.

I like when you keep us up to date in real time. Like last week when you were trying to decide about the stone-I didn’t know if that was weeks ago and you had already made up your minds. I love seeing the gardening (sorry Tara, I know it’s hard but let folks help. My favorite on every Reno channel is taking us second hand shopping!!! You know we can keep secrets! One channel went to 5-6 auctions all over Great Britain and bid/won 156 items…furniture and art, for 1090 euros!!! Absolutely amazing!

It is perfect as is but if you would add more on recipes as I love cooking and getting more ideas that would be super! The question is where will you get the time from doing this additional edits 🤪

I'd love to see your ideas about how you would like to develop your new plot of land your thoughts and ideas what you would like to get out of the space maybe raised decking with seating picnic table pizza oven a place you could entertain and relax xx

I enjoy the up to date videos so that I understand the day to day more clearly. I would love to see interviews with the various people working in your area and on your build. I’d like to know more about what their thoughts are. I loved hearing about the bee keepers update last week. Another favorite video was anything about the tree people and I could not get over how amazingly talented the people were who put in your cobble stone drive.

Two creators I support do regular 10 minute or so brief ‘chats’ each month where the patreons are updated on all the little stuff that is going on. These are informal sessions on Books being read, what the pets are doing, home renovation projects, etc. It is quick and unedited and it really makes me feel Iike my support is appreciated. Others include ‘outtakes’ once a month or so that gives us extra content without much work for the creator. Another one, who is a professional writer, writes us little updates about her life, her kids, what she’s cooking, where she is traveling 3 or 4 times a week. But that might be too much for you guys. She is a pro and writing to her is like breathing to us. But it is effective so I thought I would share. Hope this helps. Not everything you do for us needs to be top quality, fully edited and time consuming for you. Quick and easy but frequent is the idea. Lmk if you have any questions. Congrats on 200K!!!

I like the idea of short little blips with raw content. You have so much on your plate right now don’t forget about burn out. I know you do not even have time for burn out but I just think short raw every day now and then. You know stuff that is not in your regular programing. I would love to see cooking content how fun and remember Kids show those boys and their antics. We all love seeing the boys!! I love learning about the bees and maybe incorporating the kids to talk about a different animal or insect that is unique to your area or Portugal. Do a segment on the cork trees and how they are processed and how they are made into cork products. Love all of you. Love watching the progress on everything! SO EXCITED for all of you!
