Feline Queen

This is how I felt when a squirrel in my backyard approached me, climbed my leg, then sat on my shoulder for a spell. I even tried to scare it off before it all happened. Nope, it decided that I was chosen. Or it just wanted to use me for a seat. Or maybe it was a minor deity having taken the form of a squirrel, and it had a quest for me that day, that I totally ignored.

Yeah. Our cats have always liked me best, because I put a lot more effort into "speaking their language" than my spouse does. Before our older two passed on, I used to wake up in the morning with one cat under each arm, and one curled up on my chest with her head snugged up under my chin. The remaining one of those three, who is now over eighteen years old, started burrowing under the covers to curl up against me, after she no longer had to compete with the older sisters.

I mostly only get cuddles when it's chilly out but still accurate :P
