Life and Writing Update

Hey everyone,

We know things have been really quiet on the DB side of things. It's been a really tough couple of months. I had COVID for nearly four weeks, so Ry had to take care of the house, meals, work, and me.

Then last week hit like a truck.

Ry's had a really bad cough for a little over a year now. He's gone to multiple doctors and tried many medications. This past week, we had him take an allergy test specifically for parrots/parakeets. It turns out that he's allergic to the budgies.

Unfortunately, with bird allergies, they can permanently damage your lungs if left unchecked. We both made the impossibly difficult decision, and gave Rappy and Bally to a bird rescue on Sunday afternoon. Both of the owners couldn't say enough about how healthy and beautiful they are, and the co-owner said she may take them home herself.

Ry and I love them both with all of our hearts. It's so difficult to put into words how much this hurts. We'll continue to have them in our artwork and emotes, and we will never forget them.

We wanted to thank you for your patience, continued support, and for waiting for us. You have sincerely been the light in our days and a sanctuary where we need it most.

Our plan is to get back to streaming (at least one writing/one Ravyn per week), more chapters, and to catch up on commissions from here on out. We'll still be at UwU Con on October 18th and 19th, and we would love to see you there if you're in the area. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

We'll see you soon.
