Development Update - 4th of October + Bonus Wallpaper
Hey everyone,
This will be a brief update, as we had a few things to deal with away from work this weekend. Nothing serious, just some stuff we needed to take care of. I will keep next week's update public, like this one, so non-patrons don't miss info on our progress.
We've got a lot in the works right now for Realm 4. We ran into some pretty major technical issues with the animations we were working on. After resolving some of these, they began taking a lifetime to render. We've also been experimenting with a render farm, but we still need more testing to optimise things. Due to the problems we ran into, we weren't able to release a new chapter last month, but we should be able to get this out in October. We also initially planned the full Realm 4 release for December, but we've now shifted it to January. Once the updates start coming, they shouldn't slow down as much as they have, since many of the issues we've faced will have been resolved.
Overall progress has been slower than we want, but we're still working hard and pushing to get Realm 4 as good as possible.
I can provide more info on all of this in next week's post, when I have more time to write.
