Damnnnnn. I personally loved the show but then again I’ve read the books. I audibly gasped when I saw you did commentaries. But if it’s not something you think will make for good commentary then that’s okay! But if you do continue I’ll be watching! Soon we’ll have season 2 of Outer Banks anyways 😈

eric i'm in the same boat as you where medieval/fantasy/magic genres just do not appeal to me for some reason... I wouldn't be mad if you dropped something else instead next week

I think fans of the book are super pleased with it because it sounds like a clever adaption of the books but as someone with no attachment to the source material i agree….. yeah you can scrap it 😬

I finished it and the first 3 are slow, but it 100% picks up. I throughly enjoyed it and l am usually not a fan of these kind of shows. I’m considering reading the books after finishing it, I thought it was that good

Love seeing a return to some solo TV tracks but overall I’d say skip the show

I think its worth sticking with it. Like you said, there's only six episodes left and I think it picks up after this.

Having watched the show I can understand the hesitation, the first couple of eps are certainly slow and a lotttttttt of names and information that tbh are a lot to digest that you can easily miss. But! I think it really picks up as you go on and I think its such a great series and super entertaining (especially the storyline with the casino trio) I will definitely enjoy the tracks if you choose to continue with them but totally understand if you decide against it :) x

After watching the tracks id say drop it, you dont seem like you care about the show at all and it doesnt seem bad enough to create enough fun banter, its too much of an average show that if youre not feeling it nothing great will come from it i feel. That said ill probably finish the show on my own cause its up my alley a bit.

Part of me wants to see more just because of the casino group and the other half of me doesn't want you to suffer through these tracks. But if you continue I would be down!

I'm voting to skip this one. I think if you're unable to engage with the show at all (getting invested in it if it's good, laughing at it if it's bad), then it comes across in the tracks. I can see you trying so hard to get invested but it's just not happening in these first 2 eps haha Like you mentioned briefly, it might be a different story if you were watching with someone else that you could bounce off of (a la the Cursed tracks), but it probably won't be much fun to keep watching alone when it's probably just not a show for you (like you said). Maybe the show gets more interesting in later episodes, I don't know, but that's my view based on these first 2 eps. That said, I think it’s cool that you're trying this out! Starting a show and just seeing if it's worth continuing or not instead of just scrapping these first 2 tracks

yes i jumped into the apple keynote during the last hour or so and i definitely wouldn't have finished if i wasn't on the discord, so twas a great time suffering together! <3 i actually started shadow and bone bc i wanted to see what everyone was getting all excited about aaaaand... i realized right away it wasn't for me LOL 🤷‍♀️ so i say if you make it to ep 4 maybe and you're intrigued, then you could continue! if not, it's totally okay if you stop watching haha

I really liked The beginning of Shadow and Bone. I saw with my mom and really liked how the whole race issue seemed to be set-up and how the characters were portrayed. I mean they weren’t complex or anything but likable for kids shows. I felt like the story gave too much away and just got predictable near the middle-end. Plus the main character was just boring after the first episode IMO. The only characters I consistently liked were the thieves/criminals. They had amazing repartee.
