After suffering through the original six movies and mostly enjoying the 2021 reboot, it's finally time for Zach Cregger's take on Resident Evil. He has said that he's not directly adapting the games, but does that mean no recognizable characters? No lickers or clickers or whatever?? No big guys wearing sunglasses indoors???
The man is two for two for horror movies, so at the very least this will probably be a good movie. BUT will it be a good Resident Evil movie? And will we finally get our beloved CHRISTHISWAY?! PLEASE ZACH PLEEEASE!!!!!

I always really enjoy the first 2/3rds of Cregger’s movies. They always fall apart for me in the 3rd act. But he’s got the sauce overall
If this winds up being a genuine smash hit, it would make an awesome HHN house next year.
This following those PWSA joints was like washing down McDonald's entire menu with a small cut of filet mignon. I have diabetes now but at least this left me with a good aftertaste.
I'm going insane I swear I never even heard of the Welcome To Racoon City movie I thought it was a poorly created series but that was a separate thing apparently... I agree that Welcome is a better RE movie, but Zach's movie is a better overall movie... Both work really well as a double feature as I did tonight though. Best of both world and iterations. Zach overall understood the assignment. But for me, no laser hallway. 0/10. I'm out.

Resident Evil: The Movie: The Video Game Caught it at a matinee this AM with an incredibly well behaved theater audience. Got a laugh every couple minutes and I was the one blurting out "AH GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKER" at every jump scare despite being a horror veteran. Gonna watch it again with the track - been trudging through them all with the all star commentary team... almost at the end!!!
