Oh and just throwing it out there too - I would have never watched Doctor Odyssey - but I did thanks to you and I will never EVER forget the threesome scene as a dude yeets himself off the side of a boat YOOOOOOO

Cam'ron · October 29, 2025

I sometimes go "oh man a TV track... I don't even want to watch that show" and end up watching one ep and get super into it haha. Like Gen V, I was super burned by The Boys going down in quality and I just blew through Season 1 of Gen V with you guys lol. I'm going to rewatch The Boy track tomorrow, I remember literally falling on the ground from laughter when the finale of that movie hits loooooooool

I'm not huge on TV tracks. Most often, the TV tracks don't align with my interests like your movie tracks do. I don't think they are low effort, and I get that there is someone who prefers TV tracks over movies. (Probably a lot). So I decided a few years ago that I would cycle on and off with PMI, allowing a few movies to accumulate (or a TV show I enjoy), and then join for a month or two before canceling again for a few months. Not everything is gonna interest me, but I'm glad you're filming what you enjoy covering. It's very cool that you welcome people to cycle on and off once they see stuff that interests them. Also, low effort would be like if you were watching tik tok during the recordings and barely talking. You always give it your all during each track. Not everything is for everybody, but everything is for somebody.

My only complaint is Conjuring 4 w/ Mike should’ve been out 👀

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

That’s a spooky month kinda flick 😉

R
Ryan Smith · September 23, 2025

Hey Eric, you’ve been my favourite YouTuber since discovering Pretty Much It back in 2012, I can even remember the specific video of yourself and Paul explaining who Thanos was after The Avengers came out - none of that was particularly relevant but I did want to say I’ve been a long and dedicated fan of yours. And since this video is addressing a “complaint” I also have one minor critique that has kinda occurred over the last couple years… (and it really is minor so please don’t get too mad at me 😅) It has nothing to do with volume of content but sometimes I do feel like you do rush through movies or shows (which I understand since you are typically bingeing or have other places to be) but commentaries used to have a bit more discussion or conversation about a movie once it finished. Some of my favourite commentaries are for Spiral, Identity, and the Blair Witch trilogy. All have a solid 20-30 minutes decompressing and talking about the twists and turns of the movie in totality or even how you would’ve changed things to make a movie better. I know not every movie warrants that discussion and it certainly isn’t an expectation I hold. I would just like to see it happen more. I hope this message reads less of a “complaint” and more of a wishful plea from someone who loves your work to talk about a movie once it’s finished (and not as a review) but general thoughts. Ehh, I hope this makes sense. Either way, have a fun day!

R
Ryan Smith · September 23, 2025

And I also wanna add, 20-30 minutes is a long time (though I personally love every minute) - sometimes just an extra 5-10 mins would tie it in a bow perfectly

S
Simon · September 23, 2025

I will have to confess that I’ve been a little bit - I don’t know if bummed is the right word, but it does kind of describe it - about the scarcity of movie tracks these last few months, but like you said, that’s out of your control. I’m just much more of a movie person than a show person, so it’s just a matter of preference for me. That said, I’ll definitely binge Gen V with you when the whole season is out, and all the Librarian content will be a beast of its own to tackle later on. With live shows and travels across continents, you and your guests have obviously put in an insane amount of work, and most of us really appreciate you!

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

Simon i hope you take my advice at the end of the vid (don’t tell my business partner I said it 😂)

Z
Zach Mueller · September 23, 2025

I for one agree there’s been absolutely zero new Instagram reels for the Jurassic world rebirth commentary

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

Oh shit i knew i forgot something…

L
Luis Prieto Author · September 23, 2025

I think it’s been a blast this year. Plus as a fan of when y’all do horror tracks I’ve been pretty well fed with the Final Destination/Last Summer/ and Cry Wolf tracks. I’ve relistened to that Bloodlines one multiple times, it’s become one of my faves.

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

hell yeah glad you're enjoying, Luis!

H
Henessy · September 23, 2025

Any hints as to whether one of the next few movie tracks will be from the DCOM tour?

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

next month perhaps... 👀

T
Twink death incarnate · September 23, 2025

What was your favorite band you saw at riot fest? Idles definitely won me over when they brought out Jack White.

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

honestly the back to back to back of Gym Glass Heroes, Cobra Starship, and The Academy Is was the best (Hanson was cool to see too!)

S
Sarah Knauf · September 22, 2025

I think for me I personally don’t even really look at it as “movies” versus “shows” because most of the time it’s not something I would ever watch anyway. You would never see me watching Doc Odd but I love the tracks because of the commentary, that’s what I’m paying for each month. I think part of the fun when a new series comes out is the ridiculousness that comes with the commentary. That being said I am very excited for Maxton Hall season 2!!!

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

yeah to me it's all commentary tracks, i don't think of them any differently other than that our general schedule is series tracks on mondays and movie tracks on fridays

A
Abby Mason · September 22, 2025

I don't see why it's an issue to skip tracks you don't want to watch. Also there's OVER A THOUSAND tracks, do you not....rewatch tracks? Surely I'm not the only one turning on Dirty John: Betty or any Showman track on a rainy day!

S
Shaldow · September 22, 2025

Yeah there's such a wide range of content they watch that not everything is going to pique your interest. Like Eric said, I usually take breaks with paying until there's a show they're watching that I'm interested in or enough movie tracks that I'm interested in have built up. Eric does a pretty good job on letting free patreon and discord members when tracks come out so it isn't that hard to do. Also, like you said, I rewatch tracks like 13RW, Final Destination, Saw, The Boys, etc. I don't think I've ever regretted signing back up to paid because there's always a lot of content to choose from.

K
Kenmoos · September 22, 2025

I've been so happy with all the series commentaries !! Keeps me going throughout the day and it's fun to watch them as they come out (like my beloved Doc Od... RIP ...)

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

💔

S
Sarah Gonzales · September 22, 2025

I've never once unsubscribed because of a lack of content, effort, or interest. I've had to because I am 1 broke girl (can't even afford the other broke girl) and I'll resubscribe the second I can afford to again 😭 You've always killed it Eric!

J
Jess · September 23, 2025

I’m exactly the same!

C
Cam Silas · September 22, 2025

Could never complain about “minimum effort” with series tracks considering I can’t WAIT for stranger things 5 and Percy Jackson season 2 to come out at the same time at the end of this year AND I can’t wait for your tracks for them!

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

ARE THEY AT THE SAME TIME GOD HELP US

D
Dystopian Wolf Studios · September 22, 2025

sitting and watching movies is like.... tiring lmao all my watches are at x2 speed

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

LOL ok fair

c
claire · September 22, 2025

i genuinely don’t know if i’ll ever catch up on all the pmi content how can anyone complain lmfao

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

not a chance

T
Thomas Degroat · September 22, 2025

While I do miss the movie tracks, I completely understand why you would have to prioritize the shows. I was like a junkie for the Librarian tracks so I know that having to wait for the Summer I Turned Pretty or Gen V would be equally frustrating for fans of those.

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

exactly!

M
Matic Valentan · September 22, 2025

Nonsense! Even if there are some new commentaries that don't necessarily appeal to me, there is always so much great content to go back to. That is why I like to stay subscribed, because I always like to go back to some of the old stuff. Your videos always brighten my day. Keep it going.

n
nei vilde · September 22, 2025

minimum effort, meanwhile im overwhelmed by the amount of content we get all the time lmao

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

i would love to know if anyone out there is 100% caught up somehow

D
DavidTorto · September 22, 2025

Minimum effort is crazy to say because I'm so behind on my own lists of stuff to watch due to mainly watching PMI stuff. They do make a point about no movie tracks being out but it's exactly what U said u can't control the release of tv shows and if U don't release them Monday and Fridays it will be near impossible to catch up

A
AMD · September 22, 2025

Any talk of minimum effort should be kept to the fact that you sell merch now and yet I still dont have that shirt you're wearing in my closet! Get your act together and sell me some big wolf stuff PMI guy!

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

OOP

s
staticstruck · September 22, 2025

“mimimim effort” *flies adam in multiple times from india to record tracks*

K
Kat Kenney · September 22, 2025

LOL so valid

J
Jvance7 · September 22, 2025

Am I always a fan of what you watch? No, but that isn't your problem and in the past I have just taken a break. Considering pmi consistently produces quality content, having a few tracks I might not immediately want to watch is a fair price to pay.

D
DavidTorto · September 23, 2025

In the past i just dropped to the non commentary tier as i was only watching things i knew of or had interest in which was very little, not that hard to stop paying if u feel u ain't getting what u pay for. These days its just sit through any new tracks whether its some trash like the summer i turned pretty or gold like gen v.

J
Jake · September 22, 2025

Real PMI fans don’t say things like “minimal effort” we say “thank god gen v is back on”

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

ITS BACK BABY WOOO

E
Eddie Burns · September 22, 2025

Minimum effort is crazy for every person who likes movie tracks more someone likes tv tracks. But I will stay subscribed even if I don’t like what’s out at the moment love the channel and will continue to support

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

lotta folks online think everything they like/dislike is correct haha

A
Alec · September 22, 2025

Minimum effort is definitely an odd take. I do what you mention at the end of the video, cancel my sub when the schedule doesn’t appeal to me and come back when it does. That’s how I manage literally anything I have subscriptions for. And I’ve always had the feeling you’re the type to understand that lol

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

i do the same thing!

J
JustVeryMundane · September 22, 2025

I wouldn’t say minimum effort at all, but will say yeah i definitely had to stop paying and start back different time (mainly cause im a little baby who can’t go Final Destination & also the Librarians was uhh… a show.)

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

that's what i recommend!

B
B · September 22, 2025

crazy comment to leave 😬 for all we know you could have things going on as well, you’re doing great nobody expects new content 24/7 this ain’t a TikTok now

R
Roxy is no longer inside your walls because she has learned the second season of the Ted tv series will be released March 5th · September 22, 2025

you put out more content than ive ever seen on patreon. nearly 4 hours of content weekly is insane. I also would prefer more movies but minimum effort is completely the wrong phrase for that lmao especially in a month where you were touring.

n
natey boi · September 22, 2025

we need to discuss the summer i turned KITTY season 2 cos i’m still waiting king 😭🙏🏻

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

recorded and dropping uh... eventually!

R
Rachel Leotta · September 22, 2025

Minimum effort is a crazy thing to say about getting multiple pieces of 45min+ content every week for AT MOST $15 a month

L
Lara · September 22, 2025

Thank you Eric for all the hard work all these years!!!!!!!

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

thank you for being here, Lara! 😌

T
Tanner Richard Craft · September 22, 2025

"minimal effort" is crazy. I know y'all work hard especially coming off the tour.

N
Norah B · September 22, 2025

I don’t comment usually, but I wanted to say you’re completely fine. Keep doing what you’re doing, man.

P
Pretty Much It · September 23, 2025

appreciate that, Norah!

B
Bonsigma · September 22, 2025

Maximum effort more like it
