Patreon Authentication, Keys, and API — Fully Implemented
We’re excited to share a major milestone with you — today, we finished one of the core systems behind both the game and the website.
We’re talking about the full server-side database and our Patreon key management system.
Here’s what’s already up and running:
• Full Patreon authentication integration.
Players can now log in with their Patreon account, choose a unique nickname, and our system automatically retrieves and updates their membership information. Everything stays up to date — each login refreshes the subscription status directly through Patreon.
• Patreon key generation and management.
If a user has an active paid subscription, the system generates a unique one-time key that unlocks extra in-game content. When the membership expires, the key expires as well. If the patron renews, a new key is generated.
• A custom API for key validation inside the game.
When a player enters their key, the game sends a request to our server, which checks:
whether the key exists,
whether it’s active,
and whether it’s still valid.
If everything is correct, the key is marked as used, and the player receives their in-game patron status. The level of benefits depends on their Patreon tier — we support three tiers in total.
Why is this important?
Because the system guarantees security and fairness. Each key is unique, one-time, and tied to a specific user. This prevents any form of code copying or misuse and ensures that exclusive in-game content is granted accurately and legitimately.
