Shaping the Story: Progress and Structure

Hey everyone,

Today we’d like to give you a closer look at the story — the heart of our project.

During these past months, most of our work has revolved around writing: shaping dialogue, refining tone, and making sure each scene feels alive and connected to the world of Genshin while still telling something entirely our own.

For the first release, the game will feature five main characters — Lisa, Rosaria, Mona, Amber, and Jean.
Each of them will have their own chapter, forming the foundation of the Mondstadt arc.

The overall concept is structured much like Genshin itself — through Archon Quests and regional chapters.
Each region is divided into a “Volume,” and within each volume are multiple “Chapters,” serving as the story’s core missions.
Alongside these, players will also find regular quests, focused on individual characters.

In Mondstadt, Jean will represent the main Archon storyline — guiding the core narrative forward.
Meanwhile, Lisa, Rosaria, Mona, and Amber each have their own personal storylines — intimate, emotional, and character-driven.
Through these quests, we want to explore their personalities from a new perspective — a bit deeper, more grounded, and more mature than in the original game.

As for progress:
— Lisa, Rosaria, and Mona are fully written and currently in the polishing stage.
— Amber’s chapter is being written right now.
— After that, we’ll move on to the main storyline with Jean, which will tie the first volume together.

It’s been a challenging but rewarding process — dozens of dialogues, branching choices, emotional pacing, and subtle character dynamics.
We’ve put a lot of care into ensuring that every scene feels meaningful and that each interaction reveals something new about the world and its people.

Writing for Strange Search Sister is not just about creating text — it’s about building emotional continuity, where every line matters and every choice carries weight.

We’re excited to share more of it soon.
