New Year, new updates!

Happy New Year! Maybe? I am hoping for a productive year!

What is happening with the world? The usual.
What is happening with the game? I'm working on the next update, of course :)

I was a bit silent over Christmas and New Year, but I'm back now.
And I haven't been slacking off either :)

We are currently in the, let's call it Dream-Arc. In which the Party members, instead of going to therapy like normal people, decide to use magic to dive into the Protagonists mind, in an attempt to fix(?) it.

A big turning point in the story for sure! If they succeed.

The way I imagine it will go, is first I'll upload the upcoming version which I'm working on now. Not to long until it's done hopefully. Though, the 3D work has been quite complicated this time! The update will be, hmm, cinematic. I've definitely leveled up my 3D skill working on this one. Maybe I'll make Goblin Layer: the anime at some point. Though, I can't draw for shit so it'll have to be CG.

Not exactly Pixar or Anime* quality yet though, but we'll get there. Unless we're talking about the latest season of One-Punch man, in which case it will at least have more frames.

Then, after that there's gonna be a gameplay update, exploring the protagonists "Mindscape", ... how did he develop his obsession anyway, was he always like this? Does he have parents? Why does noone in this game have normal names? We'll see.

And finally, the grand finale of the Dream storyline with scenes, the spicier kind, for all 3 party members, before returning to the normal world! After that, I'll work a lot on developing the relationships with all the townspeople. I asked who to prioritize once we reach this point, and Farm Girl won, so her story be worked on first.

Also, don't worry, there will be more green things happening as well.

Then, It's maybe a bit early to say, as developing a story can be a bit chaotic at times, but I'd say story-wise, it will not be super long until the endgame after all this. I got one more adventure-style chapter planned, which involves the kidnappings. No I didn't forget that plotline, believe it or not. Besides that, the "Human Relations"-arc will basically be as long as you want it to be. Meaning, if you want to "100%" everyone in Town, develop the Cottage, etc. it'll be a bit longer. One the other hand, if you just "engage" with your favorites, you'll be able to head to the endgame faster.

And what is the endgame you ask? Well, the protagonist has two issues currently:
1. The inability to form normal human relationships
2. DEBT

Number one may be, solved, after the Dream/Human Relationship arc, if the player wants it to be solved.

Which leaves us with 2. What is that Succubus up to anyway.? I'm sure a government official with access to the large amounts of gold would not do anything immoral...

Also, here's something completely different:
I got a comment from someone who were unable to unzip the game file. Let me know if this has happened to you, so I know if its just a one-off case or something more. I'll be repacking and repuloading in a couple days anyway. Or, I'll upload the new update if it gets finished first.

I'd recommend updating 7Zip if you're using it, not only because of the game, but also for safety, as there was a 'critical vulnerability' in the program (7zip, not the game) not too long ago.
