As someone who recently graduated college and currently works at the store the part about figuring out what to do with your life hit me hard. I listen to podcasts so I can forget about that stuff! Canceling my subscription.
Deposit recycling is widely studied, and extremely successful - even the small financial incentive dramatically increases return rates. This is as close to proven as possible, across all the states in the US that implement it. I dont know if it would necessarily translate to hoodies, or whatever, bc recycling had a fairly robust infrastructure in place at the municipal level, and aluminum is extremely valuable compared to cloth, but the example of is correct.
