Monopoly was invented to display the problems with capitalism, the problem is that people don’t play by the actual rule set so the intended 20-30 minute game time is extended to 1-3 hours, inevitably just whenever everyone is bored and quits. Its message has also been buried by the 100+ different editions to continue profiting from the same game. Ironic that the game built to educate about the fallacies of capitalism has become one of its most heinous samples.
