It's here and just in time for your Halloweenie!
Improvements include improved voice quality and delivery for Elana, Seraphina and Dravara; Optional Witchblade Combat Style for Elana; New Quest Content; Rebuilt Intimacy System along with direct Minion Support; Improvement to Minion Handling; and much more!
It started as voice improvement along with minion handling and getting the intimacy system to work much better for people who were having issues. It then went into adding new lines and listening to feedback to give her an optional in-melee combat style option and then, to not disappoint anyone, I added 2 new quests.
It should be safe to update mid-game as long as you aren't on one of her quests (besides the meta ones like Find all the Formulas or Find the Dark Tomes).

From testing this week, I improved shopping support by having it terminate if the player is out of range (2048 units) - Affects ingredient shopping, misc shopping and selling books
Version 2.5 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Improved Elana's delivery of lines and voice style to be much more lifelike - reworked well over 2000 lines. Added new lines and things she comments about, such as the player absorbing dragon souls, comments on when she consumes things and more.
- Improvements to the Minions, especially the 2 gals. Backend summoning system is reworked and optimized, as well as how their aliases are handled and their follow/sandboxing. Improved tone and style of their voices. Visual tweaks especially the eyes. You individually approach the gals for intimacy with full selection of positions. Re-balanced minions overall against each other and you can now scale up or down their attack damage and spell magnitude.
- Elana now has optional Witchblade style which is basically a spellblade. You can freely switch between her main caster style and the spellblade one. While in Witchblade, her main weapon is imbued to also cause otherworldly fire damage and occasionally explode with a small chance to knock opponents down - this is in addition to any weapon enchants. Seraphina also performs more of a spellblade style by default. This should give folks that don't like pure caster followers more options.
- Two new follow-up Quests that occur after she starts collecting dark tomes, has acquired Dravara and has completed her Stillness quest. This is sort-of a 2 quest chain and will give you another option at the end.
- Update of the Mood system to the lighter 0-3 point system. A lot of it is fairly automatic for gains but you can easily influence it with compliments or giving her things she likes. Benefits: +5% Magnitude and -5% Cost of spells per Rank over 0. All the sour puss level things are removed.
- Intimacy system is completely rebuilt on the backend and more streamlined and with several bugs squashed. You can now edit position statistics if you need to (all based on real numbers now, if you did X 3 times, it shows as 3 times). You can also edit which positions are suggested by her and chosen by you, so if you want to omit certain things you don't like, you can easily do this. As mentioned earlier, the humanoid minions can now be approached by you individually, make suggestions and make post-intimacy comments.
- Elana can now do more extensive shopping. She can shop for things at General Vendors which gives you an additional gold dump with her.
- MCM is better organized with formula spells you can toggle now ordered by the priority in which she will use them if more than one of the same color are selected. There are also explicit cooldowns provided for a lot of her features so you no longer need to guess when she's ready to shop or is going to next approach you for alone time.
- Lots of back end things were tweaked and re-balanced to promote a better experience with Elana and her Fiendish Friends overall.

Hard requirements: SKSE 64, SkyUI. If you are on a version lower than 1.6.1130 you must install BEES (all content is now in the extended esl range).
Version 2.5 UPDATE:
Visuals:
- Seraphina's eyes are now more vampiric looking and have a purple iris glow. Veins on face are more detailed and hand created.
- Dravara's shader is updated slightly and she has ghostly, glowing eyes.
- Elana's Darkbolt causes a small purple explosion when hitting a target and a new subtle custom sound it.
System:
- Her consuming things is done with arrays on a magic effect, making this more elegant.
- Optimized Elana's alias scripting for speed and efficiency.
- Optimized her spellcasting cache for formulas, so that she will cast without fail. Also delivered by a magic effect, similar to consumption.
- Trading system granting mood runs more efficiently.
Voice:
- Elana's voice is completely upgraded to sound more expressive without losing the qualities that have made fans fond of her. Over 1500 lines redone, hands-on, in the main mod + all the intimacy mod plus her support lines in NFF/Vanilla and interaction in the Maloria and Ninara mods.
- Seraphina and Dravara's voices are upgraded as well.
Mood:
- Converted Mood system to lighter, more dynamic 0-3 rank system.
- Benefits: +5% Magnitude and -5% Cost of spells per Rank over 0.
- All the sour puss types lines are removed.
- Elana now builds Mood and Rep when fighting beside the player fairly often.
- Gains mood from receiving food, liquor, skooma, gross things, bones and gold. Her bonus per item given is lower than other Nether followers due to a huge variety of possible items. She gets the least from alcohol and food which only provide 50% of the bonus of harder to get items.
- Taking more of those items than giving them in a mixed trade or just taking them will give an automatic loss of Mood.
- Completing her quests, finding formulas, giving her dark tomes, entering dungeons first time, complimenting her or being intimate with her will award Mood.
Intimacy:
- Intimacy System completely rebuilt and is now more streamlined. Same functionality but a lot less moving parts.
- No more checking globals or other values for approach, following and so on. Now using keywords on assigned aliases.
- Follow for Intimacy and Forcegreet for Approach now delivered by Scenes.
- Elana should no longer lose positions, resulting in wrong actions.
- All old issues should be resolved.
- There are no longer factions for holding intimacy positions, this is now depreciated. Using accurate real numbers. When updating you'll lose your positions counts one time.
- You can now enter Edit Mode for Intimacy Statistics. You can change individual position counts and change her favorite position if you'd prefer to. Overall position count total is updated as well.
- You can select which positions are suggested by her and are chosen by you. So you can omit, for example, boobjob or handjob.
- Many new lines added.
- Once you complete the quest to make Seraphina and Dravara permanent minions and intimacy is unlocked in general with Elana, you can engage all positions with them, Elana doesn't have to be involved. Hundreds of new lines added. Post comments are also supported.
- Minions have their own sex counts, forceful and player choice chances.
- No longer need to unlock threesome and voyeur positions with Elana.
- When making a post comment, Elana/Dravara/Seraphina move away from the player before speaking.
Interaction:
- Besides shopping for alchemy ingredients, she can shop at General vendors and Caravans if she has at least 100 gold to spend. She will buy a random assortment of items. This doubles her usefulness as a gold sink for the player.
- She now only consumes Skooma and Liquor casually. She saves food for quick health gains during combat.
- Elana makes comments when drinking liquor or taking skooma.
- Elana comments when learning new formula-based spells.
- Elana comments when you give her gold directly.
- Elana can comment if she wants to go shopping.
- Jokes and love of books lines are less frequent (cooldown between when can be said again).
MCM:
- You can now see time left, in game hours, in the MCM for: Next General Consumption, Next Potion Brewing, Next Dark Tome Selling, Next Ingredient Purchase, Next General Purchase, Next Wig Change, Next Inn/Home Approach, Next Anywhere Approach. Changing any of the values associated with these will recalcuate remaining time.
- Toggle for Buying Ingredients is removed.
- Added Buy Ingredients Interval Slider, that starts at 16 hours game time. Set to 0 to disable.
- Added Buy Misc Items Interval Slider, that starts at 16 hours game time. Set to 0 to disable.
- Added Sell Dark Tomes Interval Slider, that starts at 16 hours game time. Set to 0 to disable.
Combat:
- Adjusted a few abilities that were a little too strong. Reduced Whispering Veil healing per tick. No she isn't nerfed to the ground.
Minions:
- You can set Damage Multiplier and Destruction Magnitude for her stronger minions (Creepers, Boris, Seraphina, Dravara) to make them weaker or stronger. One slider affects all.
- Minions and summons no longer get Forbidden Knowledge spell and attack bonuses. They do get the stat bonuses still.
Consumables:
- Reversed names of Extreme Witches Brew and Major. Witches Brew easier to find in inventory, is now Witches Brew - Extreme, etc.
- Utility Brews now are Dark Infusions and show like this: Dark Infusion - Spider in a Jar.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where excluded locations weren't preventing Formula drops.
- Fixed an issue where Eternal Bonds and some other quests might not start.
- No longer loses position in Intimacy, which could result in the incorrect position. Rolls are preloaded in the background when dialogue is first engaged.
- Elana now properly calculates remaining inventory weight.
- Intro Cheat now removed when it's no longer value. Is now a click here widget instead of toggle.
- Fixed an issue where enemies from the Elana mod might act passively.
- Darkbolt (baseline Elana spell) no longer reduces fire resistance. However, it is resisted verses magic not fire, so it's still strong on it's own.
- Fixed combat cancelling interaction at stage 70 between Dravara and Elana when on the Frost Maiden quest.
Comments (33)
Some of Seraphina's/Dravara's lines for creating an outfit seem to be bugged. They fail to play.
I don't see any missing lines. I just did a voice line count comparing what I have local versus .fuz lines in the uploaded archive. What text appears to have missing sound files? Be sure that if you are updating Elana, you're completely removing the old one then installing the new one.
In my opinion her old voice was more natural, cute and realistic. Before it had more personality. Now it sounds like a typical AI voice.
I don't agree. I think the new one is very expressive and the old one seemed constantly one-note to me (always leaning to nervous). But I appreciate the feedback.
i didn't see it in the description, so is ostim baked into her intimacy script?
Its ana amazng mod and I love the new content with his update. I still run into a bug where she wont follow me anymore after I dismissed her once. Will there be a patch to adress it anytime?
I haven't seen this issue in game. Which follower manager are you using?
Recently discovered Elana on Nexus, played that one for a bit, found your Patreon, and am now playing with the latest Elana and Maloria. They're a hoot; I love the dry (and sometimes more overt) humor. One question : in my previous play-through, with the Nexus version of Elana, I was finding lots of Dark Tomes. In the current one, I haven't found any. I have the relationship pretty high, I've gotten the quest to raise her elation (and got it to 10), and recently got the quest to assemble the bone merchant (but haven't completed it yet). However, I haven't found *any* Dark Tomes. Is this gated on a future question I'll see at some point? Or have I done something wrong? Or is something broken? ...edit added 45m later, spoke too soon! Just found one, and got the tome quest.
I'll take a look at it just in case there is something slowing it down. I'm pretty sure I made it relationship related so you might have needed to get to a certain rank with her.
I have a problem, when I'm using the sidekick mode from the MCM. If I tell her to wait, she waits as expected, but when I tell her to follow me again it has no effect. She is waiting forever. The "Follow me" dialog doesn't disappear as it does nothing. I have the same problem with Ravynelle. Maloria and Ninara don't have this issue, but I use the Nexus version of Ninara (because of a translation) and have not yet installed the new version of Maloria. Does anybody else have this problem? Could it have something to do with the fact that I'm using a localized version of Skyrim?
I'll look at it in game, though I'm not always using the sidekick mode. It could be localization, maybe? I can't confirm nor deny that.
Good afternoon! I may be doing this incorrectly. I downloaded, extracted all files, and dropped them into vortex before enabling and deploying. Yet when I go to Bleakfalls I do not see her inside. Did I install correctly?
I was told: "Should not have extracted anything, just drag the archive, install, enable and deploy."

just found this site and joined with a patreon membership. i'm currently deep into my playthrough with elana from nexus. i'm at 700 with her and she comments on the mara amulet about a proposal, but the only answer choice i get to tell her is no. is that a bug or will the choice of yes ever show? also, do i need to start a new playthrough to use the updated elana from this site? love your mods!
I have been using the newer one for a long while now so I don't recall if that was an issue with version 2.0 that I had fixed. I don't see it in my notes though. It looks like from what I have in Elana 2.0+, that both yes or no requires these conditions: Actor has Elana's voice, she is the the Potential Marriage Faction (19809 is the form ID). As far as updating, I "think" will be okay. You could always make a save first then try to update. If you are currently on any of her quests, complete those before updating. You need to be on SSE/AE 1130+ or using the BEES! plugin because she now uses the extended espfe range.
I have newest version installed, along with newest version of NFF. I don't think i have it set up "Correctly" to work together. This has happened 3 times now, as i am on my 3rd play through. At some point in the play through I ask her to wait. Then when I come back, she never responds and just stays there. I am also using the intimacy features. How should I set this mod up to work with NFF in a large load order? Also, what is the second download (-Approach_TestFix.rar). Thanks.
The approach fix: Added an Alternative Intimacy esp for Elana that changes her Approach quests to High Priority. Give it a try if you are having issues with her not approaching. Attached as: Nether's Elana_2_1_0_Approach_TestFix Try lowering NFF to nearly the end of y our load order. However, Elana uses the basic wait/follow system that vanilla followers use, so there's no reason it shouldn't be working. When waiting, an actor value is set to 1, when following it is set to 0. The value is "WaitingForPlayer". If she's waiting, you can get near her, select her in the console by clicking on her and type "getav waitingforplayer" (no quotes) to see if it's at 0 or 1 and setav waitingforplayer 0 to set her to follow.
Hello, it seems Dravara Frostwhisper has some broken meshes/textures, as her eyelashes and eyes are purple. She also has a purple area from her brows and eye sockets to about the middle of her forehead.
A purple area means that the textures can't be found. Her eyebrow textures should be: textures\Actors\Character\NWS_Elana\Headparts\FemaleBrow_08.dds Which is pathed correctly in the bsa (NWS_Elana - Textures.bsa). So if the bsa is present, there shouldn't be any issues.

Sorry, I didn't see this. Greyed out items during trade in Skyrim typically means that a follower is overencumbered and you have to remove some things from their inventory.
Elana sometimes drops casual questions/oservations into her conversations such as what do you think of her hair etc Are there any plans to have the player come up with a reply ?
Now using SkyrimNet, not so important now, for me anyway. I can answer how I want...🤣🤣
I updated to this version on a new playthrough, enjoying the additional mechanics, which adds to her personality, and the rest. Her approach mechanics don't seem to be firing for me though. Had maxed out relationship and mood, etc. played for awhile waiting for her usual firrst approach, and finally decided to try the chance dialogue. That worked. But enabling wakeup, putting chances at 100% etc, she never approaches. I'm assuming it is something on my end, differences between old LO when the older version worked and this LO: SL's Eager NPCs, and SLO Aroused NG as an arousal framework. WOuld they interfere?
It sounds like a package might be getting in the way from another mod - Quest with a higher priority running a package on top of her.
Just noticed tonight after updating Elana, she no longer works with Convenient Horses if her Sidekick mode is checked in her MCN, if its unchecked she then gets the dialogue back and works with Convenient Horses again. I'm guessing its because if she's in sidekick, she doesnt flag in game as a "follower" in the vanilla system so Convenient Horses doesnt pick her up as available for a horse. I'm sure there must be a way of flagging her in the vanilla system as well as a follower when shes in sidekick ?
Yeah, it's catch-22. The sidekick system is leaving the vanilla follower system alone so that there is a follower in addition to the game's or follower framework limits. With that freedom, we run into an issue where other mods that expect to work with the vanilla folllower structure aren't going to work. Flagging her in the vanilla system would be putting her in the vanilla system or using EFF/NFF, etc.
Looks pretty interesting and I sure like Elana, though I admit I secretly hoped Maloria might get some Halloween attention. She appears a bit underrated. ^^
I think she might be a little underrated but she's only been released on Patreon. If you mean underrated as in not as many people knowing about her. I'm kinda okay with that, as in, even if there are a handful of people that enjoy using my mod content, then there's at least a handful getting a little more enjoyment out of their game. I think I'd like to do something new next. Well, it's old/new. It's a new "standalone" Satyress in that she's the level of Jen, Ninara, Elana, etc in terms of being a more fleshed out follower but along with that comes some tweaks and improvements to the standard Satyresses, so there's a bit of both.
Great! Love Elana, she's one of my favourites. I had added some extra wigs to her wig box, should I remove them before updating her ? And then give them back or will the update carry them over ?
Wigs should be fine. The update adds the new Mood system, tweaks some Intimacy things and just some general polish splashed around. Formulas, Outfits, and so on are all the same.
