Gumroad banning NSFW

So it feels like at this point the entire internet is fighting against me and NSFW gets banned left and right. Gumroad has made the decision to not allow any NSFW content from now on (supposedly due to their banking partners) Given that most, if not all my content there is NSFW (physical comic, UWUNO, digital 3D prints and Blender rigs) I am forced to remove my content from there.

I find it really sad that the world we are living in now feels like it’s turning into a puritanical society banning anything that is even suggestive.

So my idea for now is to fight back and find ways around this. Im going to continue selling my items on gumroad as it seems they have taken a look at my store and only pointed out two things specifically that are not allowed (high scores and the kayla figure, the one that hasn’t even been released yet) ive been in contact with support and their rules are still somewhat vague.

So until this becomes more strict I will continue selling items (though adjusting the way they are displayed) and hoping I can get away with it at least for now.

Though I am asking for help! What are your thoughts and do you have any suggestions? I’m considering moving my store to another platform or even creating my own.

Dumb move on the part of Gumroad, it looks like a few smaller platforms are jumping at the chance to get displaced artists but nothing established yet. it's so fucking frustrating to see everything slightly sexual get slowly get more controlled and sensored while violent content is on the rise all over x and yt...

its a self destructive decision for sure, remember when Tumblr did the same and died nearly overnight?

Stripe and PayPal are cracking down on processing payments from NSFW sources. It won't be the last time these two do this unless someone creates a safe platform for payment processing for NSFW workers & artists.

Watch the movie Equilibrium. They censor emotions EC-19. I really like how soft the paws you draw are as well as toe rings.

Thanks for the suggestion! Apparently stipe is also one of the reasons for this takedown..

Seems that it’s payment processors in general. While it may impact sales, perhaps doing card only payments will be the only option going forward. I know that for some creators I purchase physical media from, Venmo/Paypal does not work for R18 content, meaning I have to input my card details to purchase.

For digital files, BOOTH and CG Trader is a great alternative. For physical, perhaps Etsy, or creating your own website that uses stripe or direct card payments.
