October and November Themes + Get Ready for In the Trenches!
Hi all!
The team is getting ready to launch the In the Trenches of the Mages' War release, and HOLY CRAP, this might be one of my all-time favorites.
It really is epic, and brings the drudgery and chaos of magic vs. machines to your tables :)
While finishing this up, we have been hard at work getting ready for October and November (no rest for the wicked around here).
We have a lot of cool ideas in the works and wanted to share some moodboards and WIPs for the upcoming months with you!
October Theme
October will be a cozy/cute/more kid-friendly Halloween release, returning to the ever autumnal town of Gristwood.
A new Dessid Subspecies
The Orchard Dessid are autumnal Fey. They are drawn to harvest festivals, cider-making, baking, communal meals, and the small rituals that turn a good harvest into a celebration.
A new Sunscorned Subclass - The Tradition of the Night Garden represents Sunscorned who channel their curse into the cultivation of strange plants that thrive on moonlight, blood, and other supernatural nourishment.
The Harvest Dragon Patch Keeper
A massive version of our previous harvest dragon that defends farms and pumpkin patches from harm!
The Snatch Gremlin (Name WIP)
A lovable little scamp that hangs out in cauldrons and candy bowls, playfully grabbing at those that try to take too much from the receptacle it calls home!
Trick Or Treaters
What Unhallowed Eve is complete without trick-or-treaters? At last, we will be making a special stat block for NPC's that go house to house in search of goodies.
The BOO-holder
This shy little guy floats about scaring people for giggles!
The Gummy owl Bear
A delicious and deadly little critter! We couldn't stop laughing coming up with this one.
Gnombie Statue
Not your average garden gnome...
November Theme
The Mages' War beat out the competition as the release for November.
For this release, we will be focusing on a Blank capital city, with new Blank faction units, character options, and Arcanuum enemies!
(Moodboard for "feels" below)
We have a LOT of ideas for this, ranging from a floating city dragged through the skies by captured casters, to a walking city or structure held aloft on mechanical legs, or simply a massive high-tech city protected by a huge force field.
There is a lot to figure out for this one, and any ideas you have are more than welcome!
What are you most excited for? What abilities can you see the character options and monsters above having? Feel free to share in the comments or in our Discord!
Thanks as always for your support! Get ready for Into the Trenches 9/3!
