WIPWednesday - the Trench Drake

Hey Critical Crew!

We've got your next sneak peek at what's to come in next month's "In the Trenches of the Mages' War". Check out the Trench Drake for WIPWednesday!

The Order of the Blank learned quickly that some weapons are more effective when they’re alive.

Trench Drakes are enormous draconic wardogs trained to stalk the battlefield, scale fortifications, burrow through ruined ground, and carry Blank soldiers directly into the fighting. Their bodies produce a horrific caustic trench gas capable of burning flesh, poisoning the lungs, and leaving victims blinded long after the fighting has moved on.

And killing one doesn’t necessarily solve the problem. When a Trench Drake dies, the gas-filled sack in its throat ruptures, flooding the surrounding battlefield with one final poisonous cloud.

This creature is sure to cause some atrocities at your table, so stay tuned for more soon!
