It occurred to me watching this the first time that "Daurina" is supposed to be Darunia. When he was mentioned earlier in the story as Link's best man, I hadn't played OoT at that point, so I just assumed he was some minor character who was one of Link's childhood Kokiri friends. Maybe the author read his name as Daurina the first time and never double checked. I hope we never run short of "award robe closet" moments. 😆

If we believe the writer that this is her writing down a series of lucid dreams, it's wild to have yourself go through the pain of childbirth when she could just have dreamed up some magic to get the baby out.

Had some crap going on with mic troubles, so this really did make me super happy to find out about this.

A fucking FEW TIMES, this newborn needed to be fed and changed in the middle of the night? Jenna no, his digestive tract is crazy small and he’s growing a lot, it’s just too much eating and pooping, babies wake up every few hours for … I don’t know, a year, eighteen months? Mom says I sure took a while to sleep the night. The scene of birth was the closest thing to conflict in the whole story. Hard to believe Jenna chose to write herself talking to Link that way. Reminds me of how suddenly intense Meyer got about the horror of childbirth.

I did unsubscribe actually, but now I’m back 🤷‍♀️. Prolly gonna go ahead and just skip the piss play ones if they come up again 😅. Might be wise to just put some warnings at the start or something? Like, some of the Sonic High stuff had violent SA in them…. That and some other story I’m just blanking on. That was probably even more concerning for me personally, the piss stuff was really more the final straw. But I don’t object to this stuff existing I suppose, I just don’t like being surprised by it. So warnings might be nice so that I know if I should just skip a week or whatever.

This woman's ability to smite conflict the moment it appears is something. The kings speech about link completing his mission then marrying makes me even more confident she's Mormon. Its the men go on mission to spread mormanism then come back and typically get married.

Honestly, at this point, I’m really surprised they didn’t baptize Link Jr in a bowl of piss.

It really bugs me that with everything that Jenna (the author) clearly knows about Ocarina of Time, she either missed or is ignoring that all of the Sages are dead and only exist as spirits by the end of the game. None of them are showing up physically to give a baby any gifts. She does it with the Deku Tree too. The game makes a huge point to show that the Deku Tree is dead and the little Sapling is growing to replace it.

2:55 Your use of the term is a little different than usual, but I think it works: Link is an extension of Jenna more than he’s his own person, and his perfection is part of Jenna’s daydream about her awesome life. Link’s perfection is pretty closely related to Jenna’s Sueness, and what she’s inserting herself into (😏). And being honest, there are very mildly different definitions. They may not even be flawless, but only have very easily liked flaws, or only have ‘cool’ flaws … it’s what got Atlantiana into trouble. Being abused by a caricature evil uncle, having anger problems, having nightmares, no parents … it’s a kid’s good first try at conflict, but they’re still indulging in some selfish desire for their character. Not the desire to be loved, only to be sympathetic and badass too easily.

The best part of this story was hearing the story of the comment on the dangonronpa episode at the end and seeing Dan crack up.
