The slushie cup thing is actually something i had as a kid when i was like 9 but we never bought interesting drinks or juices so i would just fill it with water most of the time and then eat the ice..

Sooo, how does that slushie cup work !? Where is the ice coming from.
I think the ridged lining is filled with ice or something else at or below the freezing point of water. The extra surface area helps more ice form along the lining, the constant agitation prevents the ice pieces from getting too big. Kinda like the spinning slushie machines at convenience stores, but hand-powered.
