The outrageously poor grammatical syntax of this fic rattled my brain so hard, that I actually asked "Who the fuck is Strider?"- completely forgetting that it's Aragorn for a few moments. That's wild.

And then what happened? 🤣🤣🤣

After looping this entire list for like, 5 times I just realized the goddamn Wap Goblin must've left Laura in the woods since she was "wapped in colth"

and then and then and then and then and then and then and then and then and then and then and then edit: i found the fic. the whole thing is 1,422 words long and the words "and then" appear 91 times. that means about 12.8% of the fic is JUST the words "and then".

I normally pull up the story and follow along but it took me 1 paragraph to realize that wouldn't be possible

Well if it’s any consolation, laughing my ass off at this episode inspired me to finally start the lord of the rings audio books that have been bouncing around in my library for two years.

This story would've been 70% better by simply introducing synonyms to the verb "to say".

By total coincidence I was rewatching the 'movie' someone on Youtube made years back of a dramatic reading someone did, and that made all the missing parts so extremely obvious... Your version was definitely corrupted, guys, I'm sorry to say, a couple words missing here and there. Still just as confusing and hilarious as the full version, though!

That Laura is raped and it’s not treated as that big a deal is the big tell that this was written in earnest by a child. If it were by a guy writing it ironically like the one who does the Garfield stories it would be played up or snarked about for shock value, but Laura was just naively blithe about it.
