Duck Defense v0.1
I just "made" a whole game — without writing a single line of code Check out Duck Defense — the game I just finished.
It's inspired by the classic Duck Hunt, but with the roles flipped: instead of hunting ducks, a "rebel" flock now bombs your house with eggs, and your job is to shoot them down along with the falling eggs to defend your house to the end. Between waves, you earn gold to repair the house, boost your HP, and buy defensive gear like a roof net, a shield tarp, an auto-turret, and a scarecrow to scare the ducks off — basically a mini tower-defense game with a retro pixel-art style. The most interesting part isn't the gameplay though, it's how I made it: this entire game was created just by chatting with Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant.
I don't need to code — I'd never opened a single line of JavaScript before. All I did was describe the idea in words: how I wanted the gameplay to work, what the visuals should look like, wanting an upgrade shop, power-up items, multi-language support...
Claude handled all the actual coding — building the game framework, drawing the pixel art in SVG, programming the effects and sound, and even the save-progress system — all packed into a single HTML file, with no need to install any programming software or complex game engine.
This is a small example of the "vibe coding" trend — programming by talking to an AI instead of typing out code line by line. Anyone can turn an idea in their head into a real product, even without a technical background. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
