Patreon has just unveiled an exciting update, complete with fresh features. One of these exciting additions is "community chats." We're curious to know if you're keen on this feature. If it catches your eye, we'll delve deeper into it and consider its implementation. If not, no worries.

Could be fun, but i think you would def needs mods for something like that to keep things safe and chill. Would it be similar to a discord?

I feel mostly ambivalent and think it鈥檚 a fine feature. My primary thought is that this is because a lot of creators on Patreon link a discord to their Patreon, and sometimes base discord access level based on patreon tier. So I would make a bet to say this is Patreon trying to make their own version. (similar vibe to how instagram steals different features from other social media apps to try to keep engagement on their own site)
It costs nothing to try. If it's no good then don't use it again.

Sounds like it'll turn into something you have to monitor and police all the time. Also seems like it'll blow up my phone with notifications. My two cents is not to use it
I鈥檝e been hoping you guys would do a watch party on Amazon but I think this might be better if it鈥檚 a live chat. It鈥檒l definitely be fun if that鈥檚 the case, especially after big premiers like 3x1 of The Boys.
I haven't looked too much into it, but I'm failing to see how it's different than the chats and comments we've had the whole time except that it can be locked to certain tiers.
