Guys, please watch, Queen of Tears next. It's a peak K-drama
i really hope they don’t, we don’t need to see kim soohyun in anything.
Ep 12 Oak shedding a tear during the boat scene between Geum-myeong and her dad was SO me! 🥺🥺🥺 I still can’t hold back my tears, no matter how many times I’ve watched it! And the scenes with Ae-sun’s grandmother make me cry every single time, too. I eventually had to go find a handkerchief to wipe away my tears because they just kept coming as we got closer to her death. For me, this was still a sad episode overall, even though it had little of humor too.
Episode 11 is one of my absolute favorites, but it was also genuinely painful to watch. I’m honestly glad Geum-myeong and her first boyfriend didn’t get married after all. He needs to grow a spine and stop being just a “sweet boy,” because everyone around him uses that as an excuse for him to tolerate his family’s horrible behavior. I know respecting your parents is a big deal in Korea, but there have to be limits. Obviously, the situation sucks for him, too, but Geum-myeong would definitely have had a miserable life if that wedding had happened. His parents wouldn’t have changed, and it would’ve been an ongoing nightmare. Eventually, their love would have faded, leaving them with nothing. I totally agree with Geum-myeong’s words after their breakup: “Everyone is unhappy and frustrated while you keep acting nice.” And when she later said, “I do love you deeply. But I love myself deeply too” — I gave her a standing ovation! 👏👏👏 That’s the healthiest approach to life, in my opinion. I was glad they didn’t get married, but I was still crying during the final scene. It was heartbreaking… 💔 He’s not a bad guy at all, but he’s weak and spineless, unfortunately. And it cost him the love of his life and left him with a miserable future. Despite everything, I did feel sorry for him when his unhinged, narcissistic mother shouted, “You owe 80% of your life to me. You are my pride! My life!” People like that shouldn’t have children at all. 🙈
Ep 11 29:44 – Oak: “You know what I’m ready to say? SWING ON HER!” We all know, Oak! 😂 And you still lasted longer than I did before reaching my breaking point with this awful woman! 🙈 48:21 — “I would be happy if a boulder fell on your chest.” — That was SO real! 😂😂😂
I'm loving this reaction series to the show. It's my favorite show of all time. Since we are two weeks away from the finale, I wanted to recommend this little 7-minute behind the scenes of the show where the main actors talk about their characters and some of the show's big moments that you may like to watch https://youtu.be/recdG_ekfMY?si=HtBzJHXCNVg5Bmy1
It’s funny how they keep referencing an indoor plant v. outdoor plant. I’ve always thought of myself as an indoor cat in that I was also raised in a very sheltered environment where my parents especially my mom took care of everything for me. Much like Aesun with Geummyeomg relationship. So I relate in that way, I’m independent in some ways but my mom will still take care of things for me no matter how old I get.
I hope Hotel Del Luna climbs the poll some more! It's my other favorite IU drama!
No Dave, it's not a spoiler if you're watching it happen but can't remember. 😂🤣 It's a friendly reminder. 😂
Here I am crying again, gosh I love this show. Does anyone know if the sunrise on the boat was real?
Loved the reviews and the early drop of this one. Happy 500k BM!! 🎉 Man, I kinda felt bad for Yeong-beom. Yes, he is a good guy and he truly loved Geum-myeong but it just wasn't enough. He lacks autonomy and boundaries with her mom, really suffocating (swing on her!) and the way they showed that miserable future, well that's what you get 🤷🏻♀️ Geum-myeong knowing her worth is really setting up that high standards for women (A highlight for me) Also, the boat scene with Gwan-sik and Geum-myeong is so heartwarming, it just makes u teary (like Oak) 🥹 and Grandma, we lovee her 🤍 may she rest in peace. Excited for the next eps 13 and 14, they're another bunch of excellent eps imo :)
Now that Tangerines is ending let's go for Kingdom next.
I'd love to see Kingdom too, but I'm really hoping they do Teach You a Lesson! I'm DYING to see the guys react to that one! 😂🙏
how can a show make me cry so much
Finally!!!
Yes, DD! You are correct. The actor from Weak Hero Class 2 is the one you saw in military gear at the beginning (ep 6) - the one she brokeup with due to family issues. NOT the artist. 👍😊 EDIT: It's all good, DD! We know you're doing your best! 🤗 Lee Jun-young's acting range is amazing! A lot of people didn't recognise him at first either. 🖤
He corrects it later
The scenes with Geum-myeong and her father on the boat and with Ae-san and her grandmother always take out an ugly crying from me 😭😭😭 So poignant, so relatable, so truthful in its emotional impact. That’s why I love that show so much! I also adore Eun-myeong and Geum-myeong siblings passive-aggressive relationship; that short phone conversation between them was hilarious 🤣 His presence cracks me up, such a comic relief in unexpected moments. That arrival from the military duty scene – oh, what a great cast, really!
I've already watched these on the website but man, episode 12 hits everytime. The scene on the boat with Gwansik and Geum-myeong is my favourite in the entire show, it makes me cry sooo much hahaha
