I have never read Starship Troopers. Someone told me it is a good book but problematic. Said it was pretty heavy handed the bugs where supposed to be the Chinese/communists. I just wanted to know if the book confirms from the movie that Ibanez caused the astroid to be deflected towards earth because of her flying mishap that happened earlier. I just like the theory of human innocent tom-foolery being catastrophic Satire is weird.
The book in the movie are radically different from one another but I do think the book is good just to get a inside into 19 40s and 50s scifi politics. The world Heinlein creates is a fascist Utopia
