Forgive
When making stuff like this they say to tell a personal story first. It sort of "gives you permission" to speak on these matters. All righty then:
I had my Dad in mind a lot when I made this. We're on better terms now than ever in our lives. All the bad shit happened so long ago and I understand why it all happened the way it did.
In brief, his dad (my grandpa) remarried when he was just a kid. His bio mom had gotten cancer and you just traded in for a new model back then. Pretty monstrous. Then she died after the divorce and he remarried to a woman who convinced his dad to exile his older brother from the family completely (I've met my uncle only once, and my cousin never). When the floor falls out from under you like that at the age of 10, yeah you're gonna marry a psychotic woman just like your stepmom, drink, break shit and scream at your kids at best heh. His "bad" wolf probably looks a hell of a lot more fucked up than this one.
Anyhoo. If you can forgive him, and get him to quit clawing at himself, then it makes things so much easier. He's waiting for someone to tell him that it's ok. Just breath and tell him he's a good boy. Cause he is UuU

Some curses are cast. Others are collected. You've realized that if you don't do what you can for him before it's too late, you'll always wonder if you could have done more. I'm down to one parent, and if I hadn't realized this myself early on, I would currently be carrying an unfair burden. I'm glad, even from the outside, that it seems like you won't be collecting.

Thank you for sharing this. I can relate. Forgiveness is not an easy process, whether you’re trying to forgive yourself or others, but can you really live a good life while holding onto grudges? Beautiful art as always 🫀

Thanks for Sharing Forge I really appreciate And acknowledge the fact that opening up to complete strangers is not a easy task by any means whatsoever, so I applaud and admire your decision very admirable indeed. On the subject of forgiveness, though I agree that it’s not healthy or good to hold onto past anger but at the same time some things in life truly arnt Forgivable.
It's not about other people, my Dad was just an example. It's about letting go of the awful things you believe about yourself.
