annoncement : EA policies. (and some feelings & emotions)
hello all!
I just wanted to quickly clarify certain things for the month of August and hopefully the next few months. As you probably know, EA recently modified and/or clarified their policies regarding mods, cc and how creators are allowed to share their work (it's still not clear but I'm not surprised at the ambiguity). I have opinions on the subject, but I am not sure how to express myself correctly here. It's not black & white for me and as much as I feel strongly about artists being able to get paid for their work I can see where, in some cases, rules needed to be clarified or changed. So... what does it mean for me? I don't know yet...
I often think about how lucky and grateful I am for your support, whether it's with patreon or simply stopping by and leaving a comment, a like or sharing my content on socials. I know I say it a lot, but you guys are truly freaking amazing! This is why I am still here, creating and sharing with you. As silly as it sounds, sharing anything with the world is pretty scary, it's like putting a little bit of your soul out there. I am so grateful for your kindness. ♥
- "ok, so what are you doing? Like for this month?" Well, August will remain early access. The main reason is because payments for August had already started before I realized what was going on with EA. Since early access to my content is what you pay for, it's only fair to leave it that way. For August at least.
The second reason is because... I kind of want to support early access so badly. I love everything about it (real early access, made professionally, no lies, no doxxing, none of that crap). I love that people get to support an artist and get a small gift in return without stopping everyone from have access to the content 2 or 3 weeks later. The concept is amazing to me. Everyone wins (this is my personal opinion, by the way). I understand the majority of you do it simply because you're amazingly generous and want to support me, but personally I prefer the option of having a little something to give in return (aka early access).
Since the EA statement isn't very clear with regards to early access, I don't know what this means for September and on, but I will keep you posted.

EA wanting to butt heads with everyone and everything. The only good thing About EA games is how they invented The Sims and gave us the game and the worlds. But to be honest Sims is nothing without mods, from my personal view and opinion.. with creators that are far to creative for the EA creators to understand and compare to. What would be cool were If EA games hired you and actually gave you lots of money to better the game. For me personally a new world of creativity working the game opened up when i found CC and mods and yet Paradise was awaiting when i found you! Seriously you are one of the best creators out there with such amazing talent and eyes for details and style. I’m curious to what will happen later on, with money and mods in general.
It seems like EA is focusing on everything except their own content and fixing the bugs of their own game. That being said, we are all still here playing that silly game. I must agree with you that custom content makes the game for me 💯. We'll see what happens, but I must say that "banning" early access really hurts my feelings, as a creator. It makes me want to rage quit, if you know what i mean? It's like there is zero acknowledgment of people's work and it's sad. Also, thank you so so much! ❤️ I can't tell you how much I appreciate! 💕
I can’t speak for everyone but I think that people are ok with early access. The problem is permanent wall paiement.
I am hoping this is what it is, I can see how frustrating a "early access" creator claims it is and never releases anything, but we are not all like that 🤍
