House Life V2 – Smarter Daily Life

Happy New Year 2026! 🎉

Recently, we introduced the House Life system—the first step toward making the house feel alive. In V1, rigid schedules were removed: if you saw a character in the kitchen in the morning, it didn’t mean they would be there the next day. Characters chose activities on their own, creating a sense of an unpredictable, living routine.

However, the system also had a problem—conflicts. For example, if the Wife and Daughter decided to use the shower at the same time, the system handled it too roughly, simply “teleporting” one of the characters to another location in the house. This broke the sense of a living space.

That is why we are bringing the routine system into order ahead of time—so that future story scenes, time skips, and house events don’t overlap or require constant reworking.

During this process, the system also received additional improvements that you will see in the next update.

In House Life V2, character behavior has become more deliberate. Instead of just picking a random action, characters now react to the current state of the house.

If a character sees that a room is occupied, they won’t “vanish” or be forcibly moved to a preset point. Instead, they will look for another available activity. Shower occupied? Go to the kitchen. Kitchen busy? Go to the living room, and so on.

This is especially important for our plans to expand the routine system, as the house will feature more actions and scenarios in the future.
